Set on the oceanfront of Paul do Mar, one of Madeira’s most traditional and sun-drenched coastal villages, Conservas Loft is a private retreat designed for those who seek calm, authenticity and closeness to the sea. Just metres from the shoreline, separated only by a quiet coastal road, the apartment offers uninterrupted ocean views and a front-row seat to the island’s most iconic sunsets, visible from the living room, kitchen or even the private pool.

The loft forms part of a contemporary building that pays tribute to local heritage. It was built on the site of Paul do Mar’s historic fish canning factory, once central to the island’s maritime economy. The original chimney, now fully restored, remains as a striking architectural landmark, giving the property both its name and its unique identity.

Inside, the apartment features a subtle blend of rustic textures and tropical notes, creating a fresh, calming interior that flows naturally into the outdoor space. It accommodates up to four guests across two bedrooms: a king-size en suite and a twin room with a second full bathroom. Both bathrooms include bathtubs, and all rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with televisions.

The kitchen is fully equipped for slow, easy meals, perhaps with the sea breeze drifting through the windows and the evening sun setting across the Atlantic. Outside, the private patio and pool offer an intimate place to unwind, with the sound of the waves and the scent of salt in the air. Depending on the season and conditions, pool temperatures range from 25ºC to 30ºC.

Free parking is available directly in front of the building, and the surrounding area invites gentle exploration, from waterfront strolls to quiet coastal cafés. For those seeking a deeper connection with the island, guided tours or surf experiences may be arranged to enrich your stay. Families will also find thoughtful touches such as a cot and highchair provided with care.

Please keep noise levels low between 10 PM and 8 AM out of respect for our neighbours.

5. Check-In & Check-Out
Kindly respect the scheduled check-in and check-out times to ensure a smooth handover.

6. Neighbour Awareness
Please remain considerate and respectful of those living nearby at all times.

7. Items Must Remain on Site
All furnishings and items are provided for your enjoyment during your stay. Please do not remove anything from the property.

8. No Additional Guests or Visitors
Only guests included in the reservation are allowed on the premises.

9. Insects & Wildlife
This rental is set on Madeira Island, known for its lush nature and subtropical climate. Depending on the season and weather, occasional sightings of insects or small wildlife may occur. While regular pest control is in place, a completely insect-free environment cannot be guaranteed, and refunds will not be issued in such cases. Guests can help by closing doors, managing waste properly and storing food securely.

10. Tourist Tax
As part of local requirements, a tourist tax of €2 per person per night (up to 7 nights, for guests aged 13 and above) will be collected during check-in via the registration form. This contribution is forwarded directly to the municipality.
