“We were not able to check in on time and were left waiting longer than expected.”

“The property was very nice, but the common area were extremely outdated. The rugs were not clean for such a beautiful hotel. If they did a cosmetic rehab, it would be outstanding needs to be updated.”

“hotel is very clean and well maintained. The gardens are lovely with plant markers, and we even saw bunnies at night. The boutique has reasonably priced beach clothing. Rooms are comfortable, with eco‑friendly AC that shuts off when you leave. The beach is beautiful, and refillable water stations are convenient if you bring a bottle. “Das Hotel besteht aus zwei Häusern. Das Haupthaus liegt zum Meer und das zweite Haus über die Straße zum Berg. Beide Häuser verbindet eine Brücke. Zwischen den Häusern verläuft die Hauptstraße. Im Haupthaus befinden siich die Rezeption, das Restaurant und der Außenbereich mit Poolund Poolbar. Im zweiten Gebäude gibt es im Erdgeschoss einen Supermarkt, Apotheke, Cafe und ein Tabakladen sowie das Parkhaus. Den Strand vor dem Hotel erreicht man miitels Türkarte vom Poolbereich aus. “Fantastic hotel, would highly recommend. The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive. The hotel itself is very nice, clean and has a great vibe to it. The food was phenomenal and I ended up eating breakfast and lunch most days at the hotel. It's in a great location too and has an awesome little swimming spot in the ocean. I was a solo traveler and felt very safe here. Very worth it to upgrade your room to an ocean view!! Would definitely come back!”

“En retrait du centre ville de Funchal mais dans une zone commerciale et à proximité immédiate de l'océan. L'établissement dispose de tous les équipements pour passer un bon séjour. La formule en all inclusive est digne d'un vrai 5 étoiles. Le personnel est vraiment exceptionnel et cela mérite d'être signalé.”

“Hotel was well located close to the marina and centre of Funchal. Room was nice enough although the view was of a neighbouring building. The gym was limited and the rooftop pool was very small and seating limited. Breakfast was okay but it was a bit of a scrum because there was limited space. Finally when we wanted the bedding changing we did as requested on the card in the room but despite requesting this on two occasions the bedding wasn’t changed which was disappointing. Not a 5 star hotel……

“The Hotel is absolutely gorgeous and in an amazing part of Funchal. The rooftop pool And bar are absolutely unbelievable with the best views in town. The staff are incredible and the rooms were cleaned impeccably. Possibly needing a little TLC in some parts of the room. But do not let it put you off absolutely fantastic would definetly return”

“If you want sleep and peace after a long journey, this is not your place, doors slamming all hours furniture scraping on the ceiling. Two encounters with combative staff. Don’t forget to take your room towel to the pool, you won’t be given another and have to go ALL the way back to your room to get them!! Very rude front desk member asked why we didn’t take ours when we asked for pool towels, there were no signs that the towels in the room were needed for the pool! Then at breakfast be prepped……

“Mooi, proper hotel. De kamers zijn wat verouderd, maar wel heel ruim. Vriendelijk personeel. Het buffet is lekker. Niet te uitgebreid, maar wel steeds voldoende keuze en elke dag iets anders. Voor vegetariërs ook genoeg opties! We vonden dit een goed hotel als uitvalsbasis voor uitstapjes naar de verschillende wandelingen. Tour operators komen je hier uithalen voor daguitstappen en je zit nog redelijk dicht bij het oude centrum van Funchal (gemakkelijk met taxi of Uber, te voet een 5-tal km).……
