Great small hotel right in the centre of Funchal. Comfortable room and nice breakfast. The Guest Relations coordinator, Carolina, is wonderful. She was so helpful, kind and patient. Listened to us and found the right tours and places for us to visit ant to eat. She is a total credit to the hotel. 🙏

Ein solides Hotel, die Lage ist perfekt mit sehr guten Restaurants und Bars fußläufig erreichbar. Auch der Hafen und die Promenade sind in unmittelbarer Nähe. Leider hat das Hotel in entscheidenden Situationen nicht glänzen können, daher nur 4 statt 5 Sterne: - Die Frühstücksräume sind sehr klein und eng, der Tag fängt also mit Parcourlauf an. - Im Zimmer liegt ein Infoflyer falls man andere Kissen wünscht, da ich oft Nackenschmerzen bekomme habe ich das Angebot angenommen, bekommen habe ich ein altes abgenutztes schlechteres Kissen, als man sie im Zimmer hat. - Die Rooftop Bar war nicht durchgehend besetzt, an einem Abend musste der Kellner früher schließen da es unten eine geschlossene Gesellschaft zu bewirten gab, für ein 5 Sterne Haus fand ich das sehr schade, besonders weil das Wetter an dem Abend sehr gut war und man gerne dort noch etwas getrunken hätte. Des Weiteren musste der Kellner für fast alle Bestellungen unten anrufen und sich Dinge erklären lassen. Er konnte nicht einmal einen Poncha machen. - Die untere Hotelbar ist gar nicht besetzt, hier wird Personal aus dem Restaurant angerufen, das dann Bestellungen aufnimmt und dann einfach vergisst. Das ist Meckern auf hohem Niveau, aber da das Hotel ein 5 Sterne Haus sein möchte, müssen auch solche Dinge besser laufen.

Wir hatten eine Junior Suite gebucht. Das Zimmer war unfassbar schlecht isoliert, man hat wirklich jedes Woet unten auf der Straße gehört. Zudem quietschte das Bett bei jeder Bewegung. Nachdem wir uns beschwert haben, bekamen wir ein wesentlich kleineres Zimmer (vermutlich günstigere Kategorie), was dann aber besser isoliert war und ein höherwertiges Bett beinhaltete. Bei 5 Sternen nicht akzeptabel. Es wurde auch kein Gutschein oder Ähnliches angeboten.

Super convenient location in the heart of Funchal old town. Easy access to everything. Rooftop pool area was a real highlight. Room was nice - but not large for a 4-person family. However, the two couches were great for our two kids to sleep on. Morning breakfast was a little underwhelming, but service overall was very good.

Excellent short stay in an upscale hotel. Wonderful friendly staff. Very tasty breakfast with good selections. Comfortable and updated room. The hotel smelled new renovations which were obvious in the corridors and bathrooms. Would highly recommend.

We were pleased to have our room available for early check in (1 pm) as it was a rainy day. Check-in was fast, friendly and efficient. Breakfast choices were excellent although the buffet room often became crowded. Breakfast staff were efficient in removing plates, cleaning tables. We had appetizers and wine at the Noz Restaurant and the hummus and olive tapenade was excellent. Check-out early in the morning (4:30 am) was efficient and helpful. Amenities over New Years were excellent. The location is Old Town Funchal is near to many activities and sights.

Aamupala oli loistavan monipuolinen, paljon erilaisia hyviä hedelmiä. Huone oli hyvä. Ainoa miinus oli se, että ikkuna oli pienehkö ja näkymä 5-8 m päässä olevaan toiseen taloon ei ollut viehättävä. Hotellin palvelu pelasi nopeasti. Sijainti oli erinomainen, keskeinen ja rauhallinen.

Just back from 4 nights in this wonderful hotel. It is located right in the heart of Old Town Funchal, a block from the Cathedral, two blocks from the waterfront and near several great restaurants. Even though the hotel is in the middle of a pedestrian area, our room was very quiet. We had a junior suite and it was excellent value, with a large room, spacious walk-in shower, fluffy towels and bathroom amenities. Our rate included a full breakfast buffet, cooked-to-order eggs and pancakes. Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. There is also a nice restaurant for lunch and dinner with indoor and outdoor seating and a rooftop bar. I would definitely stay again at this property.
