Beautiful location and fabulous hosts!

Fantastic house and location. Our host Carlos and his mother Angela were just fabulous in their support providing fruits and vegetables as well as advice on many things. Also great was the owner of the restaurant across the street Ilidio. What nice people! We will definitely come back. The house is a bit difficult to find the first time around but with a GPS it is possible. We sort of got lost on arrival, called Carlos and he came to fetch us at a roundabout, that is good service. Thank you Carlos and Angela.

Spacious well equiped property in good location

Spacious, modern, very well equiped and clean property. Has the added benefit of a gym room with weight machine, offroad gated parking, flat roof terrace and nicely landscaped outside area. Quiet neighbourhood. Has all conveniences for independent stay: wifi, tv with plenty of channels, cooker, washing machine, fridge, crockery. Lovely views towards the ocean. Cafe/restaurant/shop across the road. A bigger one 2 minutes drive away, even bigger in Calheta beach front about 10 minutes away. Superb reataurant in Prazeres 10 min away. Quick access to the main road towards Funchal. Carlos and his mom were very friendly and contactable at all times. Great communication in english. We were even provided some fresh free range eggs. All in all very satsfied with the house which exceeded my expectations. Note: Due to technical issues of which the host is aware but cannot resolve, the house is not shown properly in homeaway map. Its location is: 32.738602,-17.193838. It still does not show on google map but can be seen on bing maps.

Wunderschönes riesiges Haus in ruhiger Lage

Schon die Ankunft und die Übergabe des Schlüssels waren sehr unkompliziert, vor allem auch wegen des ausgesprochen sympathischen Vermieters. Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter und seiner Mutter war sehr warmherzig. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen. Wir werden wiederkommen. Already the arrival and the handing over of the key were very uncomplicated, above all also because of the extremely friendly owner. The equipment leaves nothing to be desired. The contact to the owner and his mother was very warm. All in all very recommendable. We will come again.

Fantastic house. Views are amazing. So peacefull and great hosts.

Spent 3 weeks. Loved every minute of it. We are a family of 5 and had an awesome Holiday. So good when you can stay in a lovely house with beautiful surrondings. Also very friendly and affordable restaurant very close by. I would strongly recommend this property if you are visting Madeira. And calheta is by far our favourite location. Empfehlenswerte Unterkunft.

Das Haus entspricht der Beschreibung und den Bildern. Es ist mit allen wichtigen Dingen gut ausgestattet. Es gibt keine Heizung, Innen- und Außentemperatur praktisch gleich. Ist an kühlen und windigen Tagen nicht immer eine Freude. Das angegebene Fernsehgerät ist vorhanden. Einen deutschsprachigen Kanal gibt es nicht. Auf mehrfache Nachfrage soll das auch so bleiben. Das Internet ist für den Nomalgebrauch gut. Fernsehen ist über laptop aber nur eingeschränkt möglich, so z. B. keine Sportsendung. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich, fragt nach ob alles funktioniert, wenn nicht, ändert sich aber auch nichts. Lage ist sehr ruhig und mit dem PKW gut zu erreichen. Die Aussicht ist perfekt.

Traumhafter Blick

Wir haben vier sehr, sehr schöne Wochen hier verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr großzügig geschnitten und sehr schön und ruhig gelegen. Durch die verglasten Fronten in allen Wohn- und Schlafräumen hat man einen wundervollen Blick über die Hügel und zum Meer. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet und Carlos und seine Mutter Angela sind sehr freundlich und kümmern sich um ihre Gäste. Estreito de Calheta ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in alle Richtungen der Insel. Sehr praktisch ist auch der Mini-Supermarkt gegenüber mit Cafe und Restaurant. Einfach rundherum empfehlenswert :-D We had four wonderful weeks here. The house is very spacious and you have got a really beautiful view from all rooms. Carlos and his mum Angela are very friendly and care for their guests. From Estreito da Calheta you can do trips in all directions. There is also a little supermarket, cafe and restaurant across the street. We enjoyed our stay very much :-D

Perfekt zum Ausspannen.

Es waren tolle zwei Wochen. Carlos und seine Mutter waren ganz liebe Vermieter. Sie haben uns mehrfach Früchte und Süßkartoffeln aus eigener Ernte vorbei gebracht.Die Lage des Hauses ist schön ruhig. Es gibt einen kleinen Supermarkt gleich gegenüber, wo man auch sehr guten Kaffee bekommt. Denn eine Kaffeemaschine hat das Haus nicht. Das ist auf Madeira nicht so üblich, da hat jeder kleine Laden eine Siebträgermaschine. Sonst ist alles da, was man braucht. Induktionsherd aber auch einen Grill auf der Terrasse. Nur man braucht ein Auto, es ist etwas abgeschieden. Genau das was wir wollten. Mit Ziegen auf dem Feld vor dem Haus. Und tollen Blick auf den Atlantik.

Lovely Owners

Stood in this property for 17 days. Enjoyed every bit of it, close to beach, everything you need is available at the property. Owners are very friendly. Mrs. Angela (Carlos mom ) always bringing fruit for us. Highly recommended. You won't regret. House is big and very spacious

Moderne Villa mit Blick auf das Meer

Wir waren über zwei Wochen zu Gast und sind sehr zufrieden. Das Haus ist modern, geräumig und gemütlich. Der Garten lädt zum Grillen und verweilen ein und die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und lassen einem keine Wünsche offen. Gerne wieder!

SIMPLY AMAZING!

Me and my group had such a wonderful time in Calheta and the place was simply amazing. Every morning when you get up you can enjoy the beautiful view and the nature around there. The house was so beautiful and fully equipped to receive people with disabilities. The owners were very kind and always available for any inconvenient. You also have a small shop and restaurant in front of the house and the beach is only 15 minutes by car. I fully recommend this place and house, indeed you will have an unforgettable time with family and friends!
