Tolle Lage hoch über dem "Fischerdorf" mit Blick auf Bucht und Leuchtturm. Anfahrt durch den Fußgängerbereich am Hafen und dann steil/eng nach oben. Sehr schönes Haus mit Parkplatz, großer Küche (EG) und Wohnzimmer (OG) mit Meerblick. Sehr große Terrasse, tolle Ausstattung der Küche, riesiger Kühlschrank. Kontakt komplett über Chat und Freddy antwortet sehr schnell. Vielen Dank dafür. Übergabe/Rückgabe ganz easy. Gewöhnungsbedürftig sind die innenliegenden Bäder, die lediglich mit einem Duschvorhang voneinander abgetrennt sind. Alles in allem top Unterkunft!

Despite the adventerous drive to Casa Mar Adentro, you are seated overlooking the bay of Camara de Lobos and an easy walk into town, which has cafes and restaurants and to Praia de Bigario (local beach). Freddy is a great host who provided history of the house and surrounding area as well as recommendations to make your trip very memoriable. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

Superbe villa dominant le port de Camara de lobos avec son jardin ou on ne se lasse pas de la vue.Rue minuscule en montée et à double sens pour y acceder peut etre sportif si vous n etes pas très à l aise en voiture.Sinon, la Villa possède tous les équipements necessaires et Freddy (le proprio) est là pour vous communiquer les bonnes adresses.

Magnificent Home in a Magnificent Location

The view and location of this home can not be beat. Our host was very welcoming and informative. You can walk down to the town or enjoy the park nearby. Lots of restaurants and shops as well.

Living on top of the world

What an experience to stay in such a unique architect-designed house overlooking the historic center and harbor of Camara de Lobos. Our jaws never stopped dropping over the gorgeous views from every window and the terrace. While the drive and walk up and down the steep narrow road was challenging, it was always worth it. We also quickly got used to a couple of the quirky aspects of how the closets and bathrooms were laid out in tandem and how there was absolutely no balustrade on the loft landing, which was not for the faint hearted. Loved the enormous kitchen, full sized refrigerator and washer and dryer, which we supplemented with drying racks. In the end we felt completely at home, found great places to walk (including the playground just up the hill with its specatuclar views of the mountains and sea) and lovely restaurants in town

Madeira Hiking Trip

This property is in a wonderful location. Nice dining and food options within walking distance. A great view from property. We stayed at a couple locations on our trip and I wish we had stayed here the whole time.You need to be aware of the driving though. The road up the hill to the house is very narrow and steep and intimidating the first time but is ok after you are used to it. Rent a small car, honk at the top and bottom of the hill and it will be ok.
