Wasn’t sure what to expect from this B&B and was more than pleasantly surprised. It’s a modern, well done refurbishment with a lovely bathroom, comfortable bed and plenty of space. With underfloor heating and a large floor stand fan most weather eventualities are covered. Plenty of power points including 4 USB sockets as well. Modern, clean and with fair storage space and hanging rail. Plenty of tea, coffee and sugar (in pots not packets) and a jug to collect fresh milk from the fridge in the Communal kitchen and dining area. This area was bright, clean and well stocked with 3 cereals, fresh fruit, bread for toast, butter and jam for a do it yourself breakfast. Even had biscuits to go with your tea. Plenty of tables and chairs for dining and a full load of menus to order in a takeaway, whilst watching the large screen TV. I recommend the Milano Italian who deliver but is actually a 2 minute stroll away and they do dine in. The Merlot was one of the nicest I’ve had in a while and all their food and drink was reasonably priced. Back to Deepcut Lodge, I will happily stay here again if in the area. The electronic keypad locks mean you need to phone or text to get your access code but messages / texts are responded to very promptly. With a modern CCTV and Fire Detection/Alarm system I felt very safe. A quiet area with a couple of takeaways and a cafe less than 3 minute walk away.
This is a different but very nice B&B, a new idea for the 21st Century and it works.
