Stayed here for a long weekend. The cabin was easy to find, very clean, and had a great layout. There were plenty of dishes and cookware as well. Would definitely book again!

New to the Red River Gorge area. The Lazy Squirrel Cabin was awesome. Super nice cabin close to all the attractions. Loved coming back and getting into hot tub!

Beautiful & Clean Cabin

We loved our stay at the Lazy Squirrel! The cabin was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and hot tub was great! The drive to trails and restaurants was not far. The cabin was not secluded, but still had a partial wooded view off the back deck. They were also very responsive. We had a question about a light switch and they responded in moments. There is a very large hill you have to drive down when leaving so if you are there and it snows, I would highly recommend reaching out to them to get alternate directions. The morning of our checkout it had snowed and they did message us about an alternate route but we had already left, hoping to beat most of the snow. Unfortunately we did slide off the road on the hill, but luckily we were fine and so was our vehicle other than a flat tire. We had the nicest locals help us get our vehicle out of the ditch and back on the road. We would totally stay here again.

Weekend getaway

My wife and I met our daughters here to spend the weekend with our grandchildren. The cabin was even better than we expected. The kids loved the hot tub after a long day of hiking. The fire pit area was great for making s’mores. It’s very convenient to everywhere we wanted to go, but still far enough away that we didn’t feel crowded. We highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back.

Boujee Cabin Perfection!!

We had a group of 8 traveling from out of state for a low key bachelorette weekend. The cabin was perfect!! The space was comfortable, cozy, and clean. The hot tub was incredible. 12/10 stars!!

We were two couple, long time friends over 30 years that came to do hiking in the Red River Gorge area. The location was a little challenging and parking was on a fairly steep gravel slope. Back door was open, letting bugs in when we arrived. Washing machine gasket was extremely moldy and machine smelled. We had been travelling prior to this and needed to do wash. Dryer and dish washer also needed to be cleaned. Kitchen ware needed to be supplemented-we made salad in a pot as no bowl available. Main lights flickered everytime hot water used probably due to light dimmer installation according to engineers in our group. Other minor things but replaced broken coffee pot quickly.House itself was comfortable and bedding good. We enjoyed the area.
