Our meticulously renovated 60-year-old barn offers a unique blend of rustic charm and modern comfort, tailored to elevate your travel experience. While steps away to local attractions, dining, and adventure, revel in the serenity and seclusion that our haven provides. Enjoy visiting our farm animals, a private firepit area, a private covered hot tub, games, records, Smart TV, high-speed Wi-Fi, and books for entertainment.

Kitchen:



We offer a fully-stocked kitchen providing you with pots/pans/cutting board, plates/cups/bowls, a stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee pot, and toaster. In season, enjoy farm-fresh eggs from our lovely hens. Just bring your food and beverages of choice to settle right in! We have a bar and four barstools located in the kitchen. We also provide tv trays and a covered picnic table, or you can enjoy eating outside by the firepit. There is a Blackstone grill for your private use and our local coffee is provided for you, as well.

Accommodating up to six guests, The Barn Owl offers a serene escape. The private master bedroom, nestled upstairs, boasts a tranquil wooded view. Sink into the plush king-sized bed complete with sheets, pillows, and a cozy comforter. Extra blankets are on hand for added comfort, while adjustable lamps cater to your preferred ambiance.



Adjacent to the bedroom, discover an exclusive loft area housing a queen-size pull-out sofa, offering additional private sleeping space. Downstairs, a sleeper sofa with a full-size mattress awaits, perfect for lounging and unwinding with a good book. Wow! This sweet barn was the PERFECT anniversary getaway for my husband and I. Every little detail was over the top and all the personal luxury touches was the icing on top. Lauren was the sweetest host and made sure we had everything we needed. We cannot wait to come back.

Just a short drive to Miguel’s, natural bridge & the general store, the Barn Owl at Red River Gorge is a MUST! We were welcomed with local coffee, farm fresh eggs and local honey really made our check-in extra special.

We stayed here to celebrate an anniversary and could not have asked for a nicer place. The hosts really know how to make you feel welcome and comfortable! This place has so many luxurious details and also tons of small details that make you appreciate the thought and time put in. The location is an added bonus!

Absolutely phenomenal and perfect!

This place was everything we could have dreamed of for our honeymoon. Not only did they leave some personal touches with a note specific to us, everything was absolutely perfect in this place. They even left us a taste of their honey, coffee, and some farm fresh eggs. We could not have asked for anything more. Absolutely gorgeous and easy to get to in the gorge and walking distance from some beautiful trails.

We enjoyed our time here! Beautiful setting! The barn/cabin felt very clean and beautifully designed and decorated accommodations. We appreciated the welcome note and snacks that were there when we arrived. KY vacation

My husband and I came down from Wisconsin for a week of bourbon and relaxing, the last leg was at this beautiful cabin to fully relax before heading back to reality and it was beyond perfect! The barn was even better than pictured, the property was a little slice of homestead heaven, and the host was so communicative and helpful. Can’t wait to come back

A truly remarkable place to stay

The house is exactly as described and pictured. It was very clean, even the hot tub was immaculate! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and so much hospitality! A hand written note, fresh eggs and coffee as a welcome was such a lovely start to our weekend! This property is so comforting and the owners are some of the nicest people we've ever met! We LOVED their farm animals and absolutely everything about this place and the Gorge. We will be back! You will NOT be disappointed if you choose to rent this gem of a getaway.

This was our favorite stay on this trip by far! They were so kind and accommodating. We enjoyed this very clean and quiet country setting including a nice clean hot tub and fire pit and yard games. We enjoyed the farm animals and the peacocks stopping by to say hello as well. Definitely would recommend staying here

My husband & I did a quick getaway to Red River Gorge to celebrate our anniversary. After a day of hiking the Barn Owl was the perfect place to relax. It was even better than the pictures! We loved the hot tub but especially loved all the animals on the property. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful stay

Pictures do not do your place justice! We really enjoyed our stay. Bed was cozy, plush bathroom towels, shower and hot tub was amazing. We also loved our farm fresh eggs and honey. The Barn Owl is absolutely beautiful. Location is so peaceful and relaxing. Lauren the host is so sweet. She really has thought of everything (decor/amenities)...you couldn't ask for anything more. Great hospitality!!! The dogs were an added bonus on our visit...they were the sweetest visitors 🐾 The spa shower was amazing. Highly recommend.😊

Overall a great barn! Very unique in what they have done with this place. Our favorites were the hot tub in the breezeway, best we have experienced! The shower is awesome and the bed was very comfortable. Be sure to visit the farm animals just up the hill. They are very friendly and the pack of dogs as well! The host was helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Thanks so much, we will be sure to spread the word with our fellow Gorge visitors!

Wow!! This property is stunning and we felt welcomed from the start!

This property is absolutely gorgeous! The hosts were amazing and was so welcoming and made us feel right at home! So many extras are available to use they literally thought of everything. The recreation part of the barn was so unique and fun, our family loved the hot tub, hammock, and the Ale 8 stocked fridge! The bathroom felt like a spa experience! Amazingly soft towels and a multi shower head shower that left the entire family saying wow! Walking the property was fun and we loved seeing the farm animals. The location is close to Red River Gorge so we had tons of trails and experiences close by but we had the privacy of the location that wasn’t busy at all. We would stay here again for sure! Thanks to Lauren and family for a wonderful vacation experience!

What we wanted/needed

GREAT place! We had only booked 2 nights with the thought that 1) we'd be able to get an early start for a full day of hiking, 2) the hot tub was going to work out all of our body aches at the end of the day. Sadly, we had to bypass the hiking, but spending 40 hours (minus meal runs) ensconced in a place like this was a fantastic plan B (next time I'll bring popcorn for the air popper)! We had amazing fall foliage out the bedroom windows in the morning, and a beautiful moon filtering through the trees at night. If you need complete darkness to sleep, bring a mask as there are no curtains on the windows (as of yet). Not an issue for us, but it could be for some? We would love to come back!
