Quiet retreat in the woods

We enjoyed our three nights at The Lookout. The area was quiet and peaceful. The cabin was well thought out and comfortable. The stairs to the cabin from the parking lot were steeper and more difficult than anticipated. The Lookout is about 20 minutes from most of the popular attractions in the area.

Bike Ride at the Gorge

This cabin was very clean and well maintained. Plenty of supplies available, such as shampoo/ conditioner, towels, kitchen utensils, dishes, pots and pans, ice trays in the freezer, laundry supplies.

Seclusion and Serenity: A Memorable Stay at The Lookout

Sometimes, the soul just needs a break from the fast-paced hustle of everyday life. The Lookout provided the perfect secluded sanctuary for our getaway. With all the amenities we could need, we were able to truly unwind and relax.From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warm, welcoming glow of the exterior lights, which illuminated both the cabin and the path leading up to it. It was a lovely touch that set the tone for our stay.Though the cabin is nestled in a more remote location, we had no trouble reaching it with our Corolla. There’s also additional parking just off the main road by the utility pole, which made it easy to find.During our time at The Lookout, we took full advantage of the area, enjoying long hikes through Red River Gorge, indulging in delicious meals at local restaurants (Red Point BBQ is a must!), and relaxing with several dips in the hot tub.While the road leading to The Lookout may be less traveled, any road to The Lookout is a road worth traveling.
