Day of rental change
I was excited to spend our last day in Mexico (after some primitive travelling) in a luxury apartment with a view and a pool. The morning of our stay they emailed me saying they need to change the room because the one I wanted had an electricity problem. They tried to make it sound better because it had another room. I didn't need another room. The room they gave me had a 2nd floor view of construction across the street. Not relaxing. Not pretty. Also, one of the shades was broken and wouldn't close so there was always a peekaboo view of us in the living room. Also, not relaxing. The laundry area door wouldn't close, so to get to the bedroom you need to squeeze between the door and the wall. The red Solo cups that my cocktail was served in made me feel like I was at a collage party rather than a "luxurious" apartment. Finally, there was nothing about this place that made it feel like Mexico. The bland apartment could have been anywhere in the world. Boring. Not relaxing. Also, the communication from the main person on VRBO was lackluster. Some stranger contacted me on Whatsapp asking for money and my passport info. Obviously, I'm not sharing that with a stranger. After jumping through many hoops I found out he worked for Danielle who advertises on VRBO. Not relaxing. At all. Luckily, the place did seem clean. So, I gave 2 stars related to it being clean.
