The views, the pool and service was great! Wish I could live there forever! Hot water and cold AC, wifi or phone signa was not the best, but oh well, we were there to relax and enjoy technology free! Can’t wait to book again!

Amazing view! Very easy check in and check out. Great a/c and decent beds. Unit was very clean. Close to little Garrafon which was super inexpensive and not crowded with great snorkeling! Beautiful roof top and comfortable outdoor furniture. The only suggestion would be a little more seating in the living room. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Sotavento! The accommodations were clean and well kept, it fit our family of five perfectly. Delia was incredibly helpful in arranging the transport from the airport to the vrbo on Isla Mujeres. The taxis drivers were great and this alleviated any challenges we may have encountered had it not been prearranged. The golf cart rental is a must and an easy way to navigate the island. Delia answered all of our questions in regard to activities on the island and provided great suggestions for our aged children (6, 9, 13 years old). We appreciated the prompt communication. Sotavento is located right across the street from the Garrafon Reef, which made snorkeling easy. We appreciated the beach in comparison to the busier and much more crowded beaches on the north end of the island. The patios are amazing spots to sit and enjoy the views. We definitely recommend these accommodations and cannot thank Delia, Blanca and Ola enough for assisting in a truly amazing trip with our family.

Beautiful Property

We recently spent 4 nights at this condo. The condo was very clean and comfortable. We used the pool daily. We usually had the pool to ourselves. We had a golf cart delivered to the property for us. It was a lovely stay. Very quiet in the evening. Cool air conditioning. Comfy beds. We would stay here again. Oh I forgot, the views are AMAZING!!

Nice place, but…

The unit was beautiful and communication was top notch. Delia and staff were amazing! We are avid snorkelers/scuba divers. To access the reef you have to pay 10 USD, the reef is dead and there is barely any sea life. You have to take a boat to access the other areas but unbeknownst to us, you have to wear a life vest, so you cannot get close to said sea life. As for being the quiet end of the island, I use the term quiet loosely. If you like to take a nap from being in the sun, this won’t happen. The Joint has live music that plays from open to close at 9pm. Blaring all day. Then at night, there is a peacock that meows all night long and this road the unit is on gets quite a bit of traffic all night long. We did not sleep more than a few hours each night because of these reasons. The downstairs bedroom faces the main road and is a single pane window. Taxis get expensive and it is approx 100 a day to rent a golf cart. The grocery store is phenomenal and has everything you need at a decent price. We talked to other unit owners and the sound was not an issue for them. The roof top has amazing views. If you are looking for a place to snorkel I recommend going to Cozumel and not Cancun.

Everything worked and was as represented

Other reviewer(s) mentioned ac issue in upper master bedroom. We were there in May. So long as we kept the bedroom door closed to the staircase, we easily had the bedroom as cool as we wished. There ARE two flights lf stairs to reach the front door and there is no life.

Perfect Penthouse

The Penthouse was amazing! The house is on the quiet side of Isla Mujeres, but close to beautiful views, fun restaurants and right in front of Garrafon Reef Park-a great snorkeling spot. The home manager, Delia, was always available for any questions from the minute we booked til the day we returned home. She set up our round trip airport transfer, ferry tickets and taxi to the house. She also set up our golf cart rental, which was delivered to us the day we arrived. Cesar also helped us with questions we had while on the property. We enjoyed cooking on the rooftop terrace, swimming in the infinity pool and just relaxing with a glass of wine on the main floor balcony. One of our favorite spots was Rancho Capricho. They had amazing food and service! The grocery store was a short golf cart ride away with all the staples we needed. Ah, and the sunrise at Punta Sur...you don't want to miss that! We are already talking about a return trip!

Paradise with a view

We had an amazing stay at this property! It’s located at the quieter end of the island, offering a peaceful atmosphere while still being close to everything you might need. The nearby beach clubs were a perfect spot to relax during the day, and we loved being within walking distance of several fantastic restaurants—each with its own unique vibe and delicious food.The pictures of this place truly don’t do it justice. The property is incredibly spacious, with plenty of room to spread out and unwind. What really sets it apart are the breathtaking ocean views surrounding it—they’re the kind of views you could never get tired of. Whether we were sipping coffee in the morning or enjoying a quiet evening, the scenery was absolutely stunning.This was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a mix of tranquility and convenience. We can’t wait to come back!

Stay here on your next isla mujeres trip

This place is beyond expectations. Ultra clean and gorgeous views. Bianca arranged everything from private car from airport to ferry to her place on Isla. She also had a golf cart delivered to us and all we had to do was leave it there She has beach chairs, cooler, big spray etc We would absolutely stay here again

It was a great relaxing time. The neighborhood was great. We have gotten to know the locals over the years and really love the location of the condo. Thanks for everything!! Bring extra cash, as the restaurants mostly take cash, especially the Joint one of our favorites. The taxis take card, which helps.

Overall nice place

Overall, I would recommend this place to stay. The views were great, very clean, and the location was excellent. The downstairs area was nice and cool. The worst part, however, was the master bedroom and bathroom area. Despite turning the AC down, it stayed VERY humid up there, and it was too uncomfortable to sleep. We ended up moving to the second bedroom downstairs, which worked just fine. Also the kitchen is minimally stocked, so cooking isn’t as easy as in other places. Lastly, the communication with the property manager was decent, although not always timely. Also, the cell phone numbers we were given could only be dialed from a landline, which became very problematic when we turned our keys in and suddenly realized we needed back in the room for an item. Again, overall not unhappy, but there was room for improvement.

Short but SWEET!

Our stay in this condo was just perfect for our family of four. Location and views are exactly what we wanted for our short stay in isla mujeres. Having a golf cart arranged for our arrival was do nice. We could start exploring the island as soon as we checked in. This condo had everything that we needed for a great vacation in isla mujeres. We highly recommend booking your stay in luxury. We will be back!

An Amazing Stay

This was our first stay on the island, and prior to our trip I asked many questions that were all answered quickly and which provided us with all of the information and resources we needed. A great example of this is that we had heard that tourists all drive golf carts around the island, instead of cars or Uber. I sent the property manager a question about this and I was immediately offered a golf cart rental to be delivered to the house for us when we checked in. The cost for the golf cart was comparable to the other companies, and we discovered throughout the week that we had used the best cart company on the island. Many of our friends had to go pick up their carts, returned them (more than once) for mechanical issues, and had to fill their golf carts with gas as needed. Our company came every other day and filled ours with gas (early in the am before we woke up), and this was included in the price. Another great example was a ‘leak’ that started in the upstairs bath. I sent the property mgr a text and someone was there within 30 mins to inspect it. The air conditioner had condensation on it, and they cleaned it up and stopped the drip immediately. Amazing property management! The house itself was very clean when we checked in, and had everything we needed in the kitchen, baths, laundry and closets to enjoy our stay. As far as the location, it is ideal for getting away from the crowds at the north end of the island, and still close to great restaurants and parks.

Great condo, great location

We were so impressed with this condo. It's located in a great location on the island. We were away from the busy area but still close to restaurants, beach clubs, and amenities. It has three balconies with stunning views! The manager was very helpful making recommendations for our stay. If you want a stunning condo near the island's south end, this is a terrific choice.

Mexican Paradise

Can’t say enough great things about this property. Fantastic views, very clean, awesome service from Delia and Cesar. The beach clubs, restaurants, and Punta Sur within walking distance make this the perfect spot. We absolutely loved everything about Isla Mujeres and can’t wait to come back.

First Time

My husband and I have visited Isla Mujeres numerous times as day trips. This was our first time staying on the island. I must say I won’t do it any other way. This condo exceeded all of our expectations. The host was super nice, quick to respond, and helped us with all of our needs. They provided us with 5 gallon jugs of water (big deal to us in Mexico) and refilled quickly upon request. I feel the location was perfect for us. We rented scooters for the weekend so traveling outside of town to a quieter area was nice. There are some fun bars/restaurants near by. The photos do not do justice for the beauty of this condo. I loved sitting on the balcony or in the pool looking out at the ocean. My crew will definitely stay here again.
