Dirty and highly disappointing
When we finally worked out where the house was on this desolate property, we were greeted by a dilapidated boxing bag and home gym on the balcony. Inside we discovered a filthy kitchen, glassware and cooking utensils, stained cushions, carpets, chairs and couch, horrendously dirty inside windows, a desolate deck, dismal firepit area, and a creepy caravan in the bushes. No charming vistas, just a grotty dam and rubbish.
To be fair, the bathrooms were modern and clean. The beds were also clean
But 18.5 hours after reporting the issues to Holiday Rental Specialists, nothing had been rectified as had been promised, so we left.
Do not stay here. There are plenty of places at similar cost in the surrounding areas that are much higher quality and have much better customer service.
Zero stars for Holiday Rental Specialists. One star for Cedar Cottage - the video and description are clearly from when the property was first rented (maybe a decade ago). This place needs a serious deep clean, some new decor and long overdue TLC. Also, sack your cleaner.
