  • Beautiful stone cottage, which is located in a characteristic medieval hamlet. Stunning views onto the valley – the garden and the swimming pool are at the exclusive use of the guests – fantastic terrace with panoramic views!
    The house is attached on one side to another house, but completely independent. Casa Max disposes of a completely fenced garden of 250 sqm, equipped with a table, chairs, barbeque, sun-umbrella, deckchairs and a swimming pool (octagonal – half set in earth – 4 x 4m, depth: 1.10m – the border of the swimming pool is only out 60 cm – opening times: 13.05. – 23.09.2017).
    Activities:
    This area is ideal for a holiday with outdoor activities – many possibilities to have a stroll as also excursion by mountain bike – discover the many villages and hamlets, which are located close to the holiday home such as Ruota, San Andrea di Compito, San Ginese.
    There are restaurants, trattorias and pizzerias in 1.5 km distance for lovers of the Tuscan cuisine.
    You may reach the wonderful therapeutic springs of San Giuliano in about 20 km and in about 34 km the nice beaches of the Versilila.
    Make a day trip to the most important art cities of Tuscany – Lucca 12 km, Pisa 22 km and Florence 70km

    Within an external staircase access to the 1st floor (ground floor level – same as the street):
    Spacious living room with couch and upholstered chairs, dining room, kitchenette with stove, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, exit onto a terrace with a table and chairs for your dining al fresco – spectacular views onto the valley; the washing machine and the heating system is also on the terrace.
    Stairs to the 2nd floor: 1 big double bedroom with walking closet, TV, 1 spacious bathroom with separate shower, hydro massage tub, wc, bidet, basin.
    3rd floor: 1 double bedroom, 1 bedroom with 1 French sized bed (1.40m), 1 bathroom with shower, wc, bidet and basin.
    The house is cosy and tastefully furnished in country style – beamed ceilings and terracotta tiled floors. WIFI included. Air condition in all bedrooms.
    There is a room on the ground floor (garden level) which remains closed. Parking within the grounds.

    Pool opened from beginning of May until end of September, for the exact dates please contact us.

    The following might be to be paid extra: Bed Linen and Towels (additional set), Bed Linen and Towels (initial set), Electricity, Final Cleaning, Heating, Refundable Security Deposit in cash, Tourist tax.

Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub im Casa Max. Und können die Unterkunft ohne schlechtes Gewissen auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.Es ist alles notwendige im Haus und Küche enthalten. Zudem gibt es einen tollen Ausblick und einen schönen Sonnenuntergang von der Terrasse zu sehen.

Wir haben uns im Casa Max sehr wohl gefühlt. Im Haus selber und in der Küche ist alles notwendige und mehr vorhanden. Wir haben jeden Abend den tollen Ausblick und den Sonnenuntergang von der Terrasse genossen. Die Schlüsselübergabe mit dem Vermieter, sowohl bei der Ankunft und auch bei der Abreise war völlig unkompliziert. Sie fand per WhatsApp statt. Zudem ist der Vermieter sehr nett. Wir hatten eine tolle Woche und können mit gutem Gewissen die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen.

Wunderschönes gepflegtes Ferienhaus. Die Inhaber sind sehr herzlich, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch die Lage ist ideal, man erreicht viele sehenswerte Orte. Tolle Strände haben wir in 1h erreicht. Wir waren mit Kleinkind da und waren sehr willkommen.

We had a lovely time! The house was ideal for the six of us. The kids loved the pool and we loved the location, very quiet and peaceful, but near enough to visit Lucca, Pisa, Florence, Cinque Terre, Montecatini, etc and the beach. The owners are very welcoming and left us cakes and drink, thank you. We will always remember our time at Casa Max.

We had a lovely week staying at Casa Max. The house was wonderfully peaceful, and perfectly located for everything we wanted to do. Massimo, the owner was so helpful and communicative. We arrived later than planned and he very kindly waited for us to arrive to give us the keys. We loved the outdoor terrace and swimming pool, and the views were just beautiful. The greatest asset of this house is undoubtedly the spectacular views – they are literally breathtaking. The location is excellent and makes a perfect base for exploring Tuscany. During our stay, we visited Lucca, Pisa, Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, and Volterra, and also spent two days on the beach near Marina di Pisa. The house is equipped with everything you could need for a vacation. Spacious and comfortable, it offers three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room with an open-plan kitchen, and a terrace. Guests also have access to a small but charming garden with a swimming pool and barbecue area. This is an ideal place for both families with older children and groups of friends. The surrounding area, especially Castelvecchio di Compito, is incredibly picturesque and full of charm. An additional advantage is the very friendly and welcoming neighbors, who made our stay even more enjoyable. A big plus is also the friendly owners, who take great care of the house and the comfort of their guests! If I were to point out any minor drawbacks, the first is the house's three-story layout, which requires frequent stairs. This wasn't a major issue for us, but it's worth keeping in mind. The second minor inconvenience is the lack of direct access from the house to the garden and pool area. To get there, you have to exit through the main entrance and pass through an additional gate. This doesn't significantly impact the comfort of your stay, but it would be even more convenient if the garden were accessible directly from the house.

We have been here in Casa Max for a week with the whole family including one baby child. The house was comfortable for everyone including the little boy (1 year old). He could crawl every minute in the house and around the pool. In this week we had beautiful weather, so the airconditioning did its job in the evening. We have no comments on the house and all the facilities in it. Everything was well done and complete for us. We have done nice things in the neighboorhood. The week was past before we knew it, too short. Maybe when we are in the area, we'll come back!

We arrived in very bad weather, heavy rains and a lot of wind. The owner, his wife and a woman who spoke English were there. We were welcomed with cookies and pantelleria liquor! Fortunately, the weather got better and we enjoyed the 20°C the next days. We went to Lucca to cycle on the mura, to Firenze to climb the campanile, to Villa Reale, to Cinque Terre, to Pisa and we enjoyed walks in the neighbourhood. Such beautiful plants and flowers. All the acacia trees in blossom! We saw a "hop" and a blue "rotslijster": these birds were never seen by us before. And the beautiful views from the village on top of the hill! We enjoyed the warm atmosphere of this casa. It is clean and everything you need is there! Thank you for having us here, we hope the casa may welcome lots and lots more happy guests!

Tolles Haus, super Lage, sehr schön eingerichtet. Die Küche ist hervorragend eingerichtet.

Abwicklung mit der Organisation ear hervorragend. Sehr nette Vermieter. Trotz erheblicher Flugverspätung klappte der Check In reibungslos. Tolles Haus. 3 sehr schöne Schlafzimmer, 2 sehr saubere Bäder, ein Wohnbereich und eine sehr gut ausgestattete Küche. Der Blick von der Terrasse ist sehr schön. Die Beschreibung passt perfekt. Aufenthalt am Pool und im Garten waren sehr entspannend. Auch der Check Out klappte hervorragend. Unbedingt zu empfehlen, wenn man einen entspannten Toskana Urlaub machen möchte.

"Casa Max" ist nicht ganz zutreffend als Name: "Palazzo Max" wäre passender. Der Empfang durch Maximo und seine Frau, die Herzlichkeit, die sehr leckern Wilkommenskekse und die zweitägige Anfahrt sofort vergessen. Wir lebten hier wie die Adeligen, leider nur eine Woche! Das Haus, die Aussicht, die Grillen, der Garten, der Pool, das Ital. Essen: aAlles perfekt! Die Medicis waren nicht besser untergebracht! "Casa Max" non è del tutto vero come nome: "Palazzo Max" sarebbe più adatto. L'accoglienza di Maximo e sua moglie, la cordialità, i biscotti di benvenuto molto gustosi , dimentichiamo subito il viaggio di due giorni. Vivevamo qui come nobili, purtroppo solo una settimana! La casa, la vista, i grilli, il giardino, la piscina, il cibo italiano: tutto perfetto! Le Madicis non sono state meglio accolte! Spero che Iberico non ha speso nessuna sciocchezza.

Great experience!

Highly recommend this property for your stay near Lucca. The owners are the nicest people and really take care of the property great view from outdoor dining area and nice safe parking. Nice neighborhood and even has s vegetable truck come by on Wednesday and unlimited fresh spring water just down the road a bit. Loved it all!
