The Perfect Spring Break

My family and I enjoyed an amazing week at this perfectly appointed home. The view from the kitchen and family room was incredible. We usually stay in the Historic District, but this was comfortable, quiet, and a short golf cart ride to shops and restaurants. We greatly appreciated the nice bathrooms and kitchen and spacious rooms. We’ve been going to Cape Charles for years, and this was one of our most favorite trips and home!

Never Disappoints

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay in CC. We have rented the same home for five years in a row. The house is always clean and meets our needs. Doug and Summer at Blue Heron Reality are very easy to contact and always make sure things are taken care of during your stay. We love the location of the home as it’s close to the shops and restaurants. The screened in porch is absolutely amazing!

GREAT VIEW

THE HOUSE WAS GREAT. Loved it and will go back. We were there for Easter. Was told there was a mixer did not have the beaters. No pitcher for tea or many casserole bowls. It just is for minor cooking not holiday meals. Loved it though. Sat out back had the fire pit and the cute lake. Wish I owned it. Great time.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The stay was generally great. Property is beautiful and the house had almost everything we needed. A few things to note: this property does not gain you access to the golf course without additional daily fees and green fees. This also does not guarantee a tee time. Please bring your own grilling supplies if you'd like to grill. The indoor fireplace is not functional-we stayed in early spring and would love to have had it on. There were a few issues with one of the balconies (a blind didn't work and there was a tear in the screen). Like, I said, overal great stay, but also including the short list of issues we had.

A Beautiful House

To Start, The Host was fantastic, any questions to him, called and left message, responds quickly. we rented the house for my daughters wedding at the Oyster Creek Farm. The House was clean, everything for a vacation was there, Kitchen fully equiped!!. The house was better than expected. I recommend asking about renting the 4 seater golf cart if avaliable. you will be glad you did!!! I just can't say enough about the hose and the accomodations. A fantast stay at a fantastic place!!! when we return to Cape Charles, this is were we will stay again!!! Thank you very much!!!!!

A Lovely Get-a-Way

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented Sunset for a week in celebration of our 60th wedding anniversary. We were joined by our three children and spouses. The house was wonderful and we found the area delightful. The use of the golf cart made it extra special. This property had everything you could imagine. We loved it! We had our special anniversary dinner at Hook & Harvey which was outstanding. Other places we enjoyed were the Oyster Farm Eatery, Cape Charles Brewery, Coffee House and Brown Dog Ice Cream.

Overall pleased with the stay

Nice house, nice location, but the property missed on small but critical niceties. A few missing light bulbs, no spare toilet paper for a week long stay, toilet seat that didn't properly fit the toilet (elongated bowl and round seat). Kitchen well equipped except for storage containers and please, please sharpen the knives. These are clearly small items but they impacted the stay every day and every mealtime. It's the small things that matter. Future renters, be aware they are constructing a new house across the street and two empty lots across the street will, undoubtedly contain houses soon. Once thise houses are built, the view of the bay will be severely and negatively impacted. Also, "best" restaurant nearby is the very popular Oyster Farm Restaurant is extremely busy, loud, and our dinner was cold and bad. Total bill for 6 adults and 2 kids was $406.00 and a big disappointment for all.

Eastern Shore Family Vacation

Hi there- I will start my review with the property manager. His communication is very deficient. I emailed and didn't receive responses for weeks at a time or not at all leading up to our stay. Luckily we didn't really require anything during our stay. The house was beautiful and perfect for our family. A few things that need attention. Several of the toilets as mentioned in previous review had elongated bowls with round toilet seats that did not fit which seems trivial except when you're actually using them. lol There were only 5 beach towels so our party of 7 had to share. Bring your own if you want to avoid sharing. There's a wasps nest in the outdoor shower where our daughter got stung! The view in the picture is shrinking as a house went up during our stay and blocked part of the view. The entrance to the beach is not right across the street it is in fact up the street. A quick walk but the listing makes it sound and look as though it's across from the house. The pool is not in the development it's a 9 minute car ride. Again not a huge deal but the listing makes it seem as though it's closer. We rented the golf cart for the week which was great. You can drive it in town and to the pool. The beach in the neighborhood was quiet but a little seaweedy for my liking. Overall the house was great and we enjoyed our stay. Cape Charles is a great little town with cute shops. 45 minutes gets you to Norfolk but you will pay a $19 toll both ways to get in and back.

BEAUTIFUL Home with wonderful Bay views!

Our family LOVED our stay here. This home had everything we needed - Including 10 beach chairs - no need to bring any. They also had a beach wagon for hauling stuff to the private beach access 5 houses down. Rent the golf cart (as an add on) - it was so fun to use. Queen & King Bedroom & full bath on top floor, with some futons as well. Main floor had master King BR & bath, as well has half bath. Downstairs had queen BR & full bath. Keurig & drip coffeemaker in kitchen. The outdoor shower was heavenly! Loved all the screened porches. Very quiet neighborhood - great for biking. Easy distance to bike to downtown. It is a wonderful beach town. We've been to Cape Charles - we keep coming back. We would rent this place again - it was that great

The house had plenty of towels, a stocked kitchen, and plenty of other amenities that pleasantly surprised us. The location on the end of a cul-de-sac was perfect for the kids and we enjoyed the stunning sunset views that this house afforded. It was super clean - such a gorgeous house! We loved the screened porches and had many breakfasts and evening family games out there. The kids and grown ups alike enjoyed the outdoor shower too! The only feedback we'd like to give is that the upstairs room with the daybed could use some blinds on the windows since we had some kids sleeping on those and the sun did come in very bright when it rose. It also got much warmer without blinds. Otherwise, we loved every minute in this beautiful, welcoming house and hope we can come back for another great year at Cape Charles!

The home lives up to its name with amazing sunset views from the 2nd floor screened porch and 3rd floor deck. The bedding, but linens, towels, dishes, glasses and silverware were of excellent quality. The home’s decor was lovely and the cleanliness of the home was exceptional. We were also very pleased with Doug Rippon the leasing agent for this rental home. He was always available to quickly answer any questions. We would definitely recommend this home for easy access to downtown Cape Charles, the beach, Cape Charles Brewery and several local restaurants.
