They did not inform at all of their renovation when booking the hotel. Staff is nice, but also not a great area, really noisy, and rooms are really cold at night. Heating system is not working.

Exceeds expectations!

I stayed down the street for a bit during this trip. I was eager for a clean, comfortable room to end my stay. I needed a good night's rest before I took my flight home to the US. The staff are very friendly. The breakfast and dinner options were wonderful and the bed was super comfortable. My room was very clean with a great shower and a wonderful climate control system. I also enjoyed the wine options at the bar. The porters and desk staff were so helpful!

City Centre hotel with city centre noise

We arrived on Sunday evening after long flight from Dubai, and staff were very welcoming. Hotel appeared a tad shabby-chic or tired not sure which. The room was comfortable and clean, but windows let in all sound of the city around us, so could hear people talking from about 4 am in the street outside. All the staff we interacted with were extremely helpful, food in the restaurant was great, but overall probably wouldn’t come back to it - predominantly down to the fact that the night time noise was a major factor.

Impressive looking CBD hotel in Cape Town

The Old Bank was a bit of a disappointment unfortunately - the interior is very classy looking, the staff are very helpful and accomodating. However, had a deluxe room which was quite small, no view and missing simple items like toilettries etc. Inside the hotel, my main issue was that the elevators, waste water and even light switche were very loud. The immediate vicinity is also not very comfortable to walk around in the evening time.

A relaxing weekend

Really beautiful hotel, great deal and great comfort. Near everything. Doormen and guard and reception staff were super nice. Hotel has everything you need. That ironing board was a bit dangerous so maybe get a new one ( fell twice while ironing but thats what you get for ironing on vacation :) ). Really just a hidden Gem in my opinion. If you're visiting the CBD areas , and want a bit of the nightlife... this is really up there in terms of value for service. Loved it :D. I spent most of the weekend out but it was relaxing stay for when i was there.Thanks for the stay
