Villa Larius Balcone

The villa was lovely- clean, spacious and accommodated our family of six. We enjoyed dining at Osteria 20 right next door. We relied on public transportation- buses, ferries and walked to restaurants nearby. The views from the villa are amazing! Carate Urio is a great location if you’re looking for more of a quiet residential experience and avoiding high tourist areas. Loved our stay!

Villa Larius Balcone

Very nice, spacious apartment in a beautiful location. Generally clean except for: considerable dust in ceiling vents and under furniture, ants under kitchen sink, soiled pan inside oven, and unexpected finding of a visibly-soiled towel behind washing machine. Could benefit from better directions for heating system and location of trash/recycling bins. Restaurant next door under new management and states all parking spaces belong to restaurant, which was inconsistent with the instructions we were given.

A week on lake Como

We had a wonderful stay in July. The lake views were great and we could walk most everywhere. The only thing that would have made it better if there was parking available.

Lovely stay for a family

Location was beautiful with a lake view, we experienced lightning thunder storms at night and bright sunny days with puffy clouds during the day. Sheets smell wonderful and the air all around is filled with jasmine. Beds are comfy, everyone slept well. Laundry worked well for our family with two kids, the restaurant next to us was exceptional. Only thing to note is that it’s on a narrow street with cars whizzing by, but we didn’t care..

Lake Como Accommodations

Our accommodations at Carate Urio Lake Como were amazing. Everything was wonderful but don't expect air conditioning. They do provide fans in each room. Expect to travel some distance to find restaurants and/or grocery/market.

Lovely restaurant next door!! Management was not responsive. Sent multiple messages and phone calls with no response. Ants were all over the apartment. Refrigerator was very smelly. Under the beds was filthy. Not easy to to get transportation to and from. The views were beautiful!

Insgesamt eine gute, gepflegte und gut aufgeteilte Unterkunft mit allem was man für einen schönen Urlaub benötigt. Schönen Blick auf den Comersee, Balkone, Terrasse, Fitnessstudio und Pool.Leider trübten einige Punkte den ansonsten schönen Aufenthalt.Mit offenen Fenstern war die Lärmbelästigung sehr hoch. Laute Haustechnik in der Einfahrt, ein Restaraunt das Nachts die Flaschen gegenüber entsorgt und eine Müllabfuhr die diese beinahe täglich abholt. Die Einfahrt einer Tiefgarage ist ebenfalls direkt neben 3 der 4 Schlafzimmer. Zudem Hundegebell in der Nachbarschaft und der übliche Sound of Italy von Rollern und Mopeds. Die Terrasse ist nur über ein Schlafzimmer direkt zu erreichen, was dann nicht mehr wirklich nutzbar ist und ansonsten nur über den Hausflur. Insgesamt leider auch wenig grün. Die Bilder suggerieren auch Seeblick vom Pool, was leider nicht der Fall ist. Der Pool war stark gechlort; selbst nach einem Waschgang der Badesachen ist der Geruch noch wahrnehmbar.Fussläufig erreicht man eine Apotheke, das besagte sehr gute Restaurant und ein Cafe. Etwa 15 Minuten zu Fuss eine kleine Fährstation. Alles andere ist 25-30 Minuten oder mehr entfernt. Man benötigt daher für vieles ein Auto, was Schade ist, da die Gassen und Häuschen den typisch italienischen Charme haben.Daher insgesamt leider nur ein OK.

Wonderful location with excellent lake views

We enjoyed this location for being away from the bustle and crowds of key towns while still being close to all the action. The building and rooms were very nicely organized for visiting groups and we had uninterrupted beautiful views of Lake Como from the living room and balconies. We also enjoyed the excellent restaurant just below the apartment and a cafe and other restaurants within walking distance. The only trouble during our stay was lack of clear information about where we could park our rental car.
