- The kitchen was very convenient and included most cooking equipment although the grill/microwave was a little difficult to understand - Amazing environment, quite lively at times but did not affect noise levels due to soundproof walls. A big plus! - Bed was very comfortable and the lodge had lots of storage space which we liked. - Water pressure and temperature of shower was a little low but did not impact experiment too much - Smooth communication and information provided prior to coming to Goodstay Lodges Overall an amazing accommodation! Thank you very much for the stay and have a lovely day!

The ‘shed’ we stayed in was modern and felt warm / homely The self-serve booking in worked well. A short drive away from Barry Island beach. Quiet / peaceful. Altogether a good stay, but more could have been made of why the accommodation were ‘sheds’, ie around being an old dock / railway line. …. Would have been good if the sheds were painted to resemble that they were old train carts and that would add lots more character to the place. The not so good …. Bedside light bulbs are way too bright Gate locked too early (probably by another guest) …. Not good if you nip to your car to get something and haven’t got your phone / the gate code with you at the time. Kettle descaling – there were bit floating in the water it was that bad. Parking space = extra! = distorts the advertised / true nightly stay rate. Shower was way too small. Wash basin – impractical, to shallow, on top of the toilet = could not stand close enough to it Iplayer Netflix etc log-in’s needed to use the TV, no ‘normal# basic TV package like Virgin Media / Sky. The inside doormat was way too large, had to step on to it when passing the bathroom when going between the lounge and the bedroom. Lack of shelf space in the lounge / kitchen area.

Not bad

Overall, very nice. Tv should have been in the bedroom and not the kitchen. No oven either. Bed was a small doubke and quite uncomfortable, you get what you pay for. Good location.
