What a beautiful manor! We loved staying here. The manor sat on a secluded hill and provided just the experience we were looking for after long days with lots of people. The restaurant served delicious food. The staff was exceptional. Highly recommended.

5 star downstairs and outside. Grounds are superb. Room was ok... Bed was big, as was TV, but there were things that let it down. Cheap furniture, a wobbly toilet, an unsuitably small shelf in shower, cheap tea and coffee. Also only one bath towel between two, and one hand towel - no bath mat. For an expensive room (even for a Sunday) it was quite basic in lots of ways, and disappoining when compared to the plush bar and seating areas downstairs. Evening meal and breakfast were excellent. Lots of choices on both menus.

Staff polite and helpful, room spacious and clean, breakfast excellent and went out of their way to accommodate cyclists on a very early start. Never visited the bar but looked cool. Just be careful on the last mile to the property as the road is very narrow. Golf course look in great nick but never had time to play. Another time maybe. Recommended lovely old building with great staff
