Lake Tahoe Ski Hot Tub Fireplace Game Room
Our cozy three bedroom mountain home includes a private hot tub, gas fireplace, Sonos home sound system, and a game room with a pool table and a dart board. Our home is just 20 minutes from many ski resorts (Northstar, Palisades, and Homewood), 5 minutes to the lake, and a 2-min walk to the national forest. Carnelian Bay is smack in between Tahoe City and Kings Beach, offering you freedom and flexibility to take in so much of your North Lake Tahoe vacation. It's a life of leisure.
The space: This warm and bright home is perfect for entertaining with a great room/open floor plan, vaulted ceilings, and multiple large windows to enjoy the beautiful forest views. Step outside and take in the mountain fresh air on either of the two large decks that overlook the backyard. The location of this mountain home is ideal; close to Tahoe National Forest land, and just up the hill from Lake Tahoe, settled in a cute neighborhood.
Inside the home: The main living space is upstairs on the 2nd floor. With the open floor plan the arrangement is great for entertaining and socializing. The spacious kitchen has a gas stove, dual ovens, a dishwasher, plenty of cabinets and counter space, and is fully equipped with all the necessary kitchen accessories. On the other side of the kitchen counter sit a few barstools, and the dining area with a nice wood and wrought iron table that comfortably seats 6. Also in this expansive great room is a sectional sofa with chaise, and a large flat screen TV, wifi, a DVD player, and a Nintendo Wii system (several games & dvds also onsite). Just to the side of the TV watching area is another space to relax in front of the gas fireplace, set up with comfy armchairs so two people can pleasantly enjoy a crackling fire or a good book. Just off the great room is a wonderful deck for outdoor entertaining, in the non-winter months it is nicely furnished with lounge chairs, patio seating area, an umbrella, and 2 BBQ grills (total of 6 burners). The stairs running down from the upper deck connect to the even larger lower deck, which houses the 6-person hot tub and grants access to the hammock.
Also on the 2nd floor is a half-bath in close proximity to the great room, and the primary bedroom and bathroom. Within the primary bedroom is a queen bed, an armoire, and a large bathroom with side-by-side sinks, a walk-in shower, and a bathtub.
On the 1st floor is another full bathroom and two bedrooms, both with new queen mattresses on the beds, dressers, and plenty of closet space. The bedroom on the back side of the house has a sliding glass door that opens unto the lower deck with the 6-person hot tub. Also on the 1st floor is a washer and dryer for laundry, and access to the garage.
Entire house has SONOS speakers for seamless integrated music through the home.
Part of the garage has been "converted" into a game room which includes a beautifully crafted 8ft. pool table and a staple-free bristle dartboard, great for adult socializing. Children are not permitted to use any of this equipment without direct adult supervision. The equipment is expensive and dangerous, please use with care.
Due to part of the garage being converted into a game room, and the narrow garage doors, it allows for two regular-sized vehicles to be parked inside the garage. Any wide or long vehicles will need to be parked in the driveway. The driveway can fit 3-5 vehicles depending on size and snowpack. Do not drive into the garage with chains/cables on car tires, this destroys the garage floor!
*During the winter months: - you are not allowed to park on the street (per city rules). - you are not allowed to drive into the garage with chains/cables on car tires. - you are not allowed to use the deck BBQ grills. - you'll want/need AWD/4WD capability, our neighborhood increases in elevation from lake level.
Guest access **AWD/4WD capability is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED in snowy winter months** Other things to note 10% Placer County Transient Occupancy Tax is already included in the nightly rates.
Door lock keypad code and address will be released to renter 36 hours prior to check-in, not earlier.
