My wife and I stayed at Casa India Catalina twice in late March and early April, 2024. The rooms were comfortable with good A/C and clean, modern showers. One room was an internal room (looks out on to the interior courtyard) and the other was exterior (had a small balcony). Both were great for what we needed. Rooms have a safe, a small but efficient refrigerator, adequate clothes storage, and decent beds. Staff is extremely helpful and available 24/7. The included breakfast was good - plenty of fruit, sausage, eggs, cereal and so on. The location is very central to the Old City and you can walk pretty much anywhere in 15 minutes or less. We didn't use the pool but it looked great, and lots of people DID use it - especially to cool off in the afternoon. Happy to recommend this place!

Breakfast is excellent. Good food and fruits choices, super friendly and warm staff. The hotel itself is very cozy // on the other hand, the room cleanliness not too great. Found a stain of dried blood in my washroom wall and some dirt/sand under my pillows. At night it gets extremely loud because of how busy the street is. And the pool closes too early and when I visited it was pretty dirty so I didn’t even bother.

Mi experiencia en este hotel fue positiva, destacando que las habitaciones del hotel ofrecen un nivel de comodidad que garantiza un descanso reparador, y la calidad de los desayunos superó mis expectativas. La ubicación del hotel es otro punto a favor, ya que se encuentra estratégicamente ubicado para acceder al centro y corazón de la ciudad amurallada. Personal amable y atento. Sin embargo, es importante destacar algunos aspectos que podrían afectar la elección de ciertos huéspedes. En primer lugar, no recomendaría este hotel para personas con movilidad reducida, ya que carece de ascensor y consta de cuatro pisos. Además, la piscina del hotel podría no ser atractiva para algunos visitantes, ya que no logra generar el ambiente relajante que uno esperaría. Otro detalle a mencionar es el olor a humedad que se percibía en algunas habitaciones. Aunque no afectó gravemente mi experiencia, porque me cambiaron de habitación, podría ser un factor a considerar para aquellos sensibles a este tipo de condiciones. En términos de relación costo-beneficio, considero que el precio pagado por la estancia se ajusta razonablemente a los servicios y comodidades ofrecidos. A pesar de los mencionados inconvenientes, la experiencia general fue positiva, y aquellos que no se ven afectados por las limitaciones señaladas pueden encontrar en este hotel una opción satisfactoria.

The staff was wonderful and the facilities were clean but the building next to it was a club with extremely loud music that played until after 3am. We would have enjoyed the hotel had we been able to sleep and when we asked what could be done, it was clear the noise levels were a known issue.

Great location and friendly staff!
It was a perfect place to stay for our visit to Cartagena. Cute lounge area in the courtyard and the same place breakfast is served. Breakfast was nice - consistent and had a good offering to start your day! Being in the walled city was a great location as we could step out and be in the action! The air conditioner was nice at the end of a long hot day of walking. Our room was comfortable and clean. We could hear the city, which is typical but if you’re a light sleeper earplugs could be a good idea. The pool was small and next to the check in and lounge area, but very refreshing, aka cold! Good for a quick dip to cool off. You can’t beat the location and the staff was very kind and accommodating. We tried to see if they had a room for our last night, but sadly for us they were booked!

Basic but did the job
As a couple travelling, this accommodation was satisfactory at the price point but, anyone looking for a bit of luxury, look elsewhere. A couple of front desk staff were friendly and helpful but that’s where it stopped. Breakfast was included which you think is great until you taste it. Very regimented breakfast scenario where by you chose your items the day before, which is fine, and then each dish is bought out to you one by one when it suits the staff/when ready. This property fulfilled our needs but unless you are on a budget, I would recommend thinking about about other properties if you wish the accommodation you enhance you trip.

This property is poorly maintained and run down. The room we were given had mold on the ac and the bathroom. Dirty sheets, cracked floor tile all around. I loaded the pictures in their FB page. Go there and see for yourself. We ended up leaving right after we saw the condition of the property.

Sadly this property I used few years back is in complete decay. Dirty, smelly, no maintenance at all, exposed wires, mold, worn out towels with holes, old dirty and stained linen, evidence of wood decay in the structure which may not be safe, broken elevator, in short avoid going to this place until it’s fixed.
