「Everything electronic, except for the refrigerator was unplugged. The bedside lamp was broken. There was soap residue on the shower drain. There was no type of soap products in the bathroom or shower. The mirror was covered with hand prints. Had to have maintenance to turn the heat on.I spent the night there simply because I had driven 600 miles. I would not stayed there if my wife was with me. At least I didn’t see anything crawling. Check in and out process is atrocious.」

「⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had such a wonderful stay at the Nauvoo Temple house stay. The home was clean, peaceful, comfortable, and perfect for our family. The location was amazing and made our temple visit so special and convenient. We truly felt the spirit of Nauvoo during our stay. Thank you for the warm hospitality and for making our trip such a memorable experience. We would absolutely love to stay here again! Just one thing Refrigerator wasn’t working and our drinks and food didn’t get cold.」

The floors and stairs are creaky but adds to the charm of an old home. Laurie is such a great host! We enjoyed her company very much! She made our stay so nice! 「Upon arrival, we noticed ants all over the sink, floor, and shower. Later that night we noticed the sheets appeared to have specs of dirt, bugs, or something on them. The hotel was completely booked as well as all others in the area and we were hours away from home, so we had no choice but to stay. Maintenance did spray and wipe down the bathroom and changed the sheets. We were told we would get a call from management the next day, but never did. 「This hotel is of standard quality; no bells or whistles to set it apart. The room was comfortable, the price was fair, and with a pool and breakfast included it met our needs.」

「I first want to say the owners are very nice. I do think they wanted us to feel comfortable and welcome. The house is old and beautiful, my curiosity of growing up near this property made me want to stay here instead of Hampton Inn. The access to the living and dining room was appealing because my family still lives in keokuk and we don’t have anywhere big enough to relax and visit together. It does have such potential to be amazing if there are some changes made. There are no locks on any of...
