“The staff treated me like family. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and cared for. The location is amazing and rooms are modern and very well kept. Breakfast was a plus. I will return!! Thank you Mariapia!”

“Quiet and memorable”

“Our host and hostess, Salvo and Patricia were delightful. We felt very much at home. Took the train into Palermo, best way to go. 15 minutes into the old town for 2 people, €13.20 return! Thank you!”

“Fint for en enkel overnatning”

“Es war sehr schön und vor allem ruhig! Wir haben es sehr genossen zu relaxen und die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Maurizio und Rossella sind sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Für uns der perfekte Ort während unserer Sizilien Rundreise etwas zu entspannen.”

“Apart from the great view during breakfast and the warm, enthusiastic front desk staff, this guesthouse is utterly disappointing and highly not recommended. I have never been to a place that doesn't offer eggs for breakfast. The only food available was unpalatable cakes, very hard bread, chopped tomatoes, sliced cucumber, and some peaches that were nearly rotten. The soundproofing in the rooms is terrible. You can clearly hear someone sneezing in the room on the floor below, and at around 2:00……

“The Family Affair rooms are on the second floor of a mixed use block in an older building in an established area of Palermo. Only 15 mins walk to the cathedral. We had a lovely evening in a nearby wine bar on their recommended list and then had dinner in a fish restaurant nearby. Felt like we were amongst the locals rather than the tourists in the historical centre. Very easy to catch a bus back to the airport rather than the very expensive taxi we took on arrival. The accommodation is very……

“In addition to the very convenient location, the room is very clean. The breakfast is excellent. Staff are very warm and give very useful recommendations.”

“Staff were lovely and very accommodating. Location is outside of Central Palermo and hotel is not staffed 24hrs so be sure to make contact about check in times. Breakfast feels lovely and personal rather than the usual buffet. My room was lovely with a great sea view I could look at for hours. A great spot to retreat to after a daybook sightseeing.”

“Bring ear plugs- no Sound Proofing beten room”

“The booked accommodation change address at last minute where need longer walking distance exceed my original criteria of less than 5 mins walk from train station. ”

“Really recommend! Valeria is super helpful and respondent!”

“Very convenient”

“Excellent boutique hotel located with easy walking access and proximity to Old City sites. Charming room with high ceilings and large private balcony adjacent to reception/bar/breakfast room/lounge on the top floor. Effervescent staff who are eager to suggest best ways to spend time in Palermo and make dining reservations on behalf of the guests. Reception hours are limited to two shifts organized around breakfast (served 8:30-10:00) and afternoon/evening (4:30-8:30).”
