「Just back from a wonderful stay in Rome. For first timers Il Covo is in such a good position to walk - 10/15 minutes to the Colosseum/Forum/Palatine Hill etc. and 15 minutes to the Trevi Fountain. Same distance to the hop on hop off bus routes too. The staff were super helpful and friendly and run Il Covo from hotel Antica Laconda. They have 24 hour reception and showed us to our room at midnight after a delayed flight!! The set of rooms were less than a minute walk away. The room was a good...

But I have several complaints: 1) ad lists a “bar and lounge”. There was none. 2) beds were pretty cheap/older. 3) the amenities were lacking. We received three (3!) packets of instant coffee, with no replacement. At this price, there should be a coffee machine.
