We had the most beautiful stay at Palazzu Stidda, in fact we had only booked one night and the minute we walked inside the apartment we decided to book two more nights! The location was perfect, we found easy street parking every night and it is right next to the coolest bar in Catania. Sara is a superb host and we are dreaming of the next time we will get to stay here. Thankyou !!

Wow this apt is in a gorgeous historic building that has been lovingly renovated with an incredible artistic flair. Neighborhood is central with great nightlife. I really enjoyed my stay. Heads up for those of you who can't carry your bags up stairs-- there is no elevator so climbing a minimum of one floor up is necessary. I didn't mind a bit, just FYI.

The heat in the apartment is not enough and unfortunately I got a cold because of that. The apartment is in a nice comfortable location that is walkable to everywhere, but sorry to say that the place feels very old although it is clean Didn’t have any shelf space in the bathroom I would not stay there again if I did go back to Catania but if the owner did some renovations it could be a good place to stay.

Internet good. No one on site for check in. Sent Code to open front door, but then numerous keys for various exterior gate and interior doors. Washer /Dryer on first floor worked fine, but no room / table to fold clothes. Bathroom shower had a wooded sliding door but didn’t slide to close.

We had a really spacious 3 bedroom apartment, which was perfect for us with 2 kids. The location was great- very convenient for walking and shopping. A bit loud at night but I wear earplugs to sleep so it didn’t bother me. The only thing we couldn’t figure out is where to take garbage. Instructions for various things are written on a door, but it might be helpful to have a host binder with a little more detailed information on how to do certain things. Enjoyed our stay though- very cute.

The picture does not reflect the entry to the hotel. It is down a dark alley behind a gate requiring a code. I have stayed in many, many hotels and this was by far the most difficult one to find and enter.

There was a Sat night street party that went on until 4am. Given that I was catching a flight at 8, I was hoping for a quiet night’s sleep after the opera concert. The taxi driver left me off several blocks away, so it was a challenge finding the location…then I thought the apartment was in an adjacent building. The apt is more of a loft…thought it was a one-bedroom but that was probably on me. The rooftop was a nice touch and kitchen and bathroom were in good shape.

Die Unterkunft hat eine ausgezeichnete Lage, war sauber und die Hausmeisterin sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Was uns nicht gefallen hat, war, dass es im Badezimmer kaum Möglichkeiten gab, Badetücher zum Trocknen oder sonst was aufzuhängen. Am meisten hat uns gestört, dass die Aufhängevorrichtung für die Duschbrause defekt war, wodurch Duschen echt mühsam wurde. Zudem benötigt die Decke im Schlaf-/Wohnraum eine gründliche Renovation. Sonst handelt es sich um eine originelle Unterkunft mitten in einem sehr belebten Quartier, wo es bis nach Mitternacht laut sein kann. Leute, die bei Lärm schlecht schlafen können oder sich darüber aufregen, sollten sich etwas anderes suchen. Uns hat dies aber weniger gestört.
