“Great proximity to Poas Volcano! Beautiful view and cozy room. The bathtub did not get very hot, but probably just due to its large size. The property is very well-maintained and breakfast was delicious! Also helpful and friendly staff (including Coco, the large white fluffy dog). I wish we stayed longer!”

“I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay at the Observatory Lodge and Glamping. The dome was so unique with beautiful views but they were clean, furnished beautifully and the amenities were modern. It is truly a family business and the property is clearly cared for with love. “We had a lovely stay overall. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Property is beautiful, breakfast delicious, room comfortable and clean. As you have to keep doors open for ventilation, the surrounding area sounds such as motorcycles on the road and rooster next door are more apparent. Overall recommend!”

“Property is fantastic beautiful views and view of small waterfall. Walk around property and enjoy the nature, river, waterfall. Property manager on site was super friendly and helpful. Three story type house. Kids loved the bunk at the top. Easy walk to town for food and groceries. We stopped here between drive from SJO and La fortune and stayed one night then went to blue falls great stop!! ”

“The stay was good. Walking the property, I really wanted to give a few ideas for improvement. The yoga area was pretty but needed a good re-fresh. There's no way anyone would want to do yoga there, in the condition that it was in. Needs a good power washing and re-staining of the deck, and the pond was full of leaves - could use a good cleaning and maybe some koi. The view from the room was incredible. The dog on the property was friendly and fun, but did bark at night. The owner was……

“Inserted in the tropical cloud forest, this place is magic. The Toro Amarillo river taints the stones orange and gives a constant roaring, the congos haul to contrast with the crickets and cicada's background rhythm. But most of the healing comes from the hot, yellowish mineral spring water pool, alternating with the very cold, crystal clear spring water. While the cabins are rustic, the staff are all wonderful. We will come back for another “forest bathing”, and perhaps a zip-line adventure.……
