「I was a walker arriving at the Nag's Head at 15.30. I was warmly received and shown to my very comfortable room. Although the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday evening, i was provided with a wonderful Chinese meal at a very modest cost. I requested a continental breakfast which was fine. Pick Hill is a lovely small village with a long history, some of which is displayed in the ancient church. 」

「Ideal for short stay」

「We had a big room but it needs updating. The bathroom window was frosted but it was looking on to a courtyard and the blind did not work.」

「Generally good for the price. The room was comfortable but the bed was too soft for us.」

「I don’t usually post negative comments but feel on this occasion it’s require based on the room rate. Our room including bathroom was slightly tired and is in need of a refreshment and lacked your normal toiletries for this level of hotel. The mini fridge compressors was very loud and as such led to both nights of poor sleep, not ideal when you book a weekend away to recover. However, the main building was very beautiful and had a nice lounge to relax in the evening.」

「Great stay in a great pub/inn in a lovely village. Originally we were looking for somewhere near York and picked this place at random – so got lucky. Decent-sized, comfortable room, the beer 'proper' Yorkshire, and the food was excellent throughout – we could have eaten almost amything on the quite extensive menu. (Watch out for some huge portions, though!) But above all, the staff were great, Georgie and the team, Joe, Katie, Simon, a special shout-out for Debbie (she knows why), and for all...

「This is a beautiful hotel in all aspects! The breakfast was the nicest hotel I have had in a long while and I travel alot!! Perfectly situated for the coast, we visited Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay and whitby; and for York and Harrogate. Would definately stay here again if we find ourselves in that part of the country again!!」
