Nice location

Conveniently located right between Swansboro and Emerald Isle. Very close to Pogies and the marina and right around the corner from the downtown waterfront restaurants and the state park.

Nice family weekend

The house was kept very nicely with all amenities stocked and ready. It is right off the main road but as soon as you turn off it's really secluded, beautiful nature right at the back doorstep. Very awesome place and would definitely recommend.

First, I have to say that all communications with Jonathan were excellent. No matter what question I had was immediately answered. The house was as described, very clean and had everything needed for a relaxed stay.Boating, don't expect to bring your own boat as the marsh is very shallow. There is a tandem kayak there but I brought my own kayak with us and it was great, spent a lot of time on the water.Overall it was a great relaxing trip but if you want a busy area with night life this is not the place to go.The one negative I would have, not with this unit, but Emerald Isle beach access. Access is mainly limited to the 2 paid parking areas which used hourly parking. There is some other access points like down near the Coast Guard station but it is a long walk to to beach. I must say it is about the nicest and widest beach we have ever been on.All in all I would highly recommend this property. It is definitely water front with beautiful views.

LONG NEEDED GETAWAY

My Fiancée and I wanted to bring our moms for a getaway! We all loved fishing right from the back yard and caught so many different kinds of fish! The bed in the master bedroom was SO comfortable that made it so difficult to get out of! We will be back in the near future! Thank you for our little getaway!!

Johnathan was very helpful walking me through the process of renting his property for a few days (wished I booked a full week) being it was my first time using Vrbo. It was a wonderful experience, lovely home filled with all the necessities you will need to feel like being at your home. View of the back yard is fantastic and night time fishing was great right in the backyard. Definitely recommended and will be renting from him again in the near future.

Great Weekend Getaway

Jonathan was a great host and communicated everything very fast and efficient! The cottage is super cute and cozy , the views amazing, Hot-tub was so nice after fishing in the backyard all day … we saw the most amazing sunset across the street! The main road can be a little loud at times in the evening however they have noise machines and a fan to cancel it out so don’t let that discourage you from staying !! Highly Recommend staying at jonathan’s cottage we can’t wait to come back in the summer ! Thanks for the memories!

Fishing paradise

We stayed at this house for a week with our dogs and had a great time! The setup for kayaking and fishing was fantastic and definitely met our expectations. As newcomers to North Carolina, we didn't realize that the property was just a few yards from the freeway, so the noise level was a bit higher than we anticipated. Also, the bedroom with twin beds doesn't have A/C, which made it a little warm at night for our guests. Despite these minor points, we were happy with the property overall and enjoyed our stay.

Great fishing getaway!

I stayed here with my wife and our dog-we love fishing and couldn't resist the idea of renting somewhere that we can fish from the backyard! It was a perfect retreat for a couple of nights, we caught some Red Drum, Black Drum, Spot and a Toadfish (& several blue crabs!) We would absolutely stay here again!
