“It was okay. I think doubletree properties are not well maintained and going down hill. The room was very dusty and did not a shower curtain The parking fee is just a revenue grab. No one was parked there.”

“I'm not a big fan of going to a pool area that smells like chlorine. It's too overwhelming.”

“There was hair in bed when comforter pulled down. The bathroom amenities were empty - no shampoo, conditioner or body soap. I spoke to staff and they said they weren’t able to “compensate” me or give a discount because room was booked on Expedia.”

“A little outdated. Floors were worn but clean. Pool looked nice. Bedspread was too heavy for this time of year. Overall it's a good place to stay. Location was great central for exploring the area.”

“Our room was pretty nice itself, but we were right next to the elevator and had noise from it.”

“Close to the 90 and Mt Rushmore. Friendly staff and knowledgeable. Warm fresh baked cookies in the lobby. Used the whirlpool and pool and liked them fine. Across the street from Mongolian BBQ which we loved. Clean comfortable room and beds.”

“No signage on the outside of the building so I even knew it was the right hotel. The room was nothing like the photo. Room smelled musty and had barely any lighting. Curtains had scratches in the faux velvet. Walls were paper thin and I could hear a screaming baby in the room next door as if they were in my room. Person who checked me in was wearing street clothes with stains all over their shirt and didn’t seem like they were normally at the front desk. I left the card key on the desk and left……

“The staff was wonderful as our first room smelled bad and they gave us a different one that was ok. Just ok hotel.”

“We couldnt check in because the manager never showed up. After waiting outside for almost 2 hours and three phone calls my husband and i ended up leaving and driving the rest of the 6 hours home. I also have current picturea that i want to share because the property today is nothing like what is posted on your website. I would like a refund please because on the third phone call the manager told me he never received my reservation from Expedia and he had issues with Expedia in the past. This……

“I will say, the only reason I am not giving this a better rating is because nowhere on the website or when we made the reservation were we told that the hotel was undergoing extensive renovations, and the key amenities we were looking for (namely the swimming pool for our kids, and the hot fresh breakfasts) were not going to be available. I don't care how friendly the staff is, or how nice the rooms, when this level of restriction is not publicized prior to booking, it is an extremely poor look……
