「I actually book the wrong place. I thought we were staying in Florence. But wasn't a problem as we had a car. This is a really nice and cozy place. Andrea who runs it is really nice and you can tell he takes pride in this little place. Very clean. Paid parking outside the door. Free at night. 」

We had two dinners at their restaurant. Both were exceptionally delicious. We were fortunate to be there during grape harvesting and to also enjoy some of the best Chianti wine I have ever tasted. 「This is an extraordinary place to stay. Utterly beautiful views at all times, in all directions. The walk through vineyards and olive groves into Vinci is a pleasure, and the little town is a lovely example of Tuscany, with added interest of Leonardo. Easy to reach Pisa, Siena, Florence, San Gimingnano and the Ligurian coastal towns by car from here. Surrounding countryside and villages just stunning, especially along the Montebalno ridge.
