“Nice”

“Room was adequate. Soft bed, nice pillows. Our room got cold and in summer I like a cold room. It would have been nice to have a warmer duvet. I ended up wearing a sweatshirt to bed. Water was hot and plentiful and an excellent shower head. Bathroom amenities kind of lacked. Floor was quiet. Breakfast was a true disappointment. My husband and I were down by 7:15 Saturday morning and the food trays were empty, no coffee. We were on a tight schedule but we waited until the Eggs(yuck), bacon,……

“Our family (including two 7 year olds) loved our stay. The courtyard is beautiful and we loved the idea of the pool (storms in area so we didn’t venture in). A/C worked almost too well! Our room was great! We had an outside room on the 1st floor so we did get quite a bit of street noise from people and vehicles. We just decided it was part of the experience and didn’t let it bother us. The location is superb. Close to everything you want but far enough from Bourbon street to give you a little……

“The FMI enjoys a very convenient location in the French quarter at a generally affordable price. The architecture style is french with big windows and lovely courtyard quiet in a short distance away from the hustling streets outside. The manager and frontdesk people are all very nice dealing with unexpected situation in a very prompt manner. There is cable TV in the room. The AC works very well. The window view is pleasant.”

“This hotel used to be military billeting. If you've ever stayed in military billeting it is quite obvious. Unlike military billeting there doesn't seem to be a staff dedicated to keeping everything in relatively perfect functionality and form. Even though hot water came from the faucet in the sink, it did not come to the shower. The shower wasn't freezing, but it never actually got hot. A towel rack had one support connection to the wall resting in a small hole. I'm sure both of these……

“Frenchmen is close to many eating and music venues. Staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We certainly enjoyed our time there. When staying here one should be aware that the building was built in 1860 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. A flight of stairs took us to our room 211. Inside the unit was two story with bathroom on the entry level and a queen bed on a loft reached with 17 stairs. Not handy for a 3 am trip to the toilet. I am 74 years old and get……
