Beautifully Restored Downtown Apartment

Summary:
The Jonathan J. Wright Inn is located in Charleston's charming historic Cannonborough-Elliotborough district. This traditional, Charleston-single home is conveniently located near top-rated restaurants, nightlife, shopping, historical sites, and more. This listing features hardwood floors, a beautifully renovated apartment, 1 queen bed, 1 sofa bed, full kitchen, and on-site parking for small vehicles. Enjoy all that the 'Holy City' has to offer!

The Space:
-This 2nd level apartment has a separate entrance and self check-in keypad to ensure complete privacy. Included in this listing are: all linens, iron, ironing board, Keurig coffee maker, full kitchen, microwave, utensils, plates/bowls, and glasses. Also included are shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, bottled water, coffee/tea, snacks and a gift upon your arrival. Please contact me prior to check-in if you would like to have any additional items available.

- Guests must be able to climb stairs to access this unit.

- This unit can accommodate 4 guests: 1 queen bed and 1 pullout sofa bed.

- This listing does not provide cable television but does provide wireless internet. You may login to streaming apps (i.e. Netflix, Hulu) using your personal credentials; however, please remember to logout prior to checking out.

- There is on-site parking for SMALL vehicles. Only one car is allowed per reservation.

-Self check-in using keypad entry.

-Washer and dryer access on-site.

Guest Access:
Guests have a private entry and private outdoor sitting area. The shared, on-site laundry room is also available to all guests. This laundry room is located on the downstairs back porch.

The Neighborhood:
This apartment is located within walking distance of King Street; amazing shopping; historic sites; and top-rated restaurants.

This short term rental is licensed by the City of Charleston #01024.

Getting Around:
Many activities and local sites are within walking distance. If you have a small to mid-sized vehicle, I highly recommend that you leave your vehicle in my parking lot during your stay & use Uber, a pedi-cab, or rent a bike to explore the city (i.e. The City Market, Rainbow Row, South Battery, etc).

Other Things to Note:
Guests must to able to climb stairs to access the apartment.

I live on the property and will be available to answer your questions/provide assistance. I do respect your privacy and will not intrude during your stay.

Magazine Worthy!

This flat was the perfect retreat for my partner and I to enjoy a few days exploring Charleston. We walked to downtown each day and if we wanted, took a quick Uber right to get us to where we wanted to go. The flat is conveniently located to be able to walk everywhere and was pristine - beyond clean, decorated to welcome anyone into a peaceful place and full of the most lovely plants and flowers to make the space feel that much more lovely.

Beautiful Apartment in Great Location, Wonderful Host

I was in town for a class and the JJW Inn was perfect for my stay. The location was fantastic and convenient to downtown and I loved that there was parking on site. My stay coincided with Tropical Storm Debby and the host was very helpful and communicative, proactively providing tips and making sure that I was OK. There were no issues or outages from the storm and I was grateful. The apartment was very clean and well appointed, and I appreciated the black out curtains in the bedroom. The bed was quite comfortable. I had a very nice stay and will certainly aim to stay here again when I am in town next time.

Charming, clean, great location

We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it ! The place was so welcoming , charming and very clean. You can walk to restaurants ( maybe 10-15 minutes to get to king street). The driveway to get to the parking space is narrow so you need to be comfortable navigating.

A gem in Charleston, SC

My wife and I have ZERO negative things to say about our stay in Charleston here...it has everything you would want! -Area and safety, check -Ease of navigation and touring, check -A clean, modern, and "absolutely adorable" stay (according to my wife), check -A friendly host with incredible communication, check Not once did we feel like we were far away from anything - even including going to the beach - which does not reside in Charleston at all. Seantell was a great host and her place is immaculate. Plenty of shopping, eating, and drinking within walking distance along with a quick Uber/Lyft ride for some of the hot spots in good ol' Chucktown. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay and we'll certainly be back in the near future!

Getaway for a week in Charleston

This place couldn’t be better. A bit off the beaten path, quiet yet close to all. Great restaurants, coffee, etc within walking distance, and within a few miles of everything else you want to do in town. This top floor apt. in a very cool old Charleston house is beautifully renovated, with a great porch to sit out on when u need to take a break. Would 100% stay here again!

Upstairs Unit Close to Shopping and Dining

My husband and I stayed at this property for a 5 night trip to Charleston. It had everything we needed to rest and relax at the end of each busy day. We felt it was perfect for two people and the bed was very comfortable! It’s a short walk to adorable coffee shops and breakfast (Daps Breakfast and Imbibe was AMAZING). The kitchen wasn’t stocked with much but it had coffee and we ate out most meals (there’s so much good food in Charleston, no need to cook) so this wasn’t an issue at all. We also loved Leon’s, Big Bad Breakfast, Viscious Biscuit, Lewis Barbecue, and the Brown Dog Deli. Our favorite activities were kayaking at Shem’s Creek, a ghost tour of Charleston, and the Patriots Point Naval Museum. We would definitely stay here again if we were so lucky to be able to return!

Wonderful rental!

The location was wonderful. We were able to walk to nearby coffee shops and restaurants and a short Uber or Pedicab ride to those that weren’t walkable. The house had everything we needed, and then some. Perfect for a couples getaway. Would highly recommend.

Cozy place for a getaway!

The rental was very cozy and clean. Appreciated the water, coffee and creamer. Quiet location. Host was great in communication. Little farther than I thought for walking for sightseeing, but easy drive to locations from this property.

Very nice!

My wife and I stayed for 3 weeks in February. The apartment was very clean, nicely appointed and well stocked. From this location we were able to walk to just about anywhere in the city. we wished to visit. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Perfection in Guest House

We were in town for my daughters college graduation so excitement and exhaustion went hand in hand with the 11 hr distance from home to there. From the moment we walked into this adorable perfectly designed space, we felt refreshed, relaxed and at home! Every amenity was provided! The space was so clean and bright. We loved the old home feel yet upgraded newness of the property....small space yet no space wasted so comfortable. We loved the Christmas tree and the wonderful bottle of Chardonnay left for us! I also noticed the fabulous Beekman 1802 products in the shower! The property is in a nice convenient location to historic district area as well as campus, shopping and restaurants so that was convenient for us as well as off street parking! Host was very responsive and kind. I would recommend this beautiful space to anyone going to Charleston, SC and we would definitely book this space again if we return. Thank you so much!

Great Charleston Apartment

We enjoyed our stay at this downtown apartment. It was easy to get to all the tourist sites. Many dinner options were walking distance. Seantell was extremely helpful in answering questions and a wonderful host. We hope to come back and stay here again.

Great VRBO for Honeymoon

I cannot begin to describe how amazing and attentive Shantell is. She communicated great with us, and listened to all our needs. We were there for our honeymoon since we got married July 24th. The property is everything we wanted and more, very clean and cozy. The property is in a great location, given is close to all the places we wanted to go. Definitely will like to come back to this place!

Cute Spot in Charleston

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon for a week in Charleston. Everything was clean and as pictured when we booked! Seantell added nice touches including a bottle of wine and fresh flowers through out the suite, clean linens, towels, robes and other small helpful items which we appreciated during our stay! She also allowed us to drop our bags off ahead of check in, as our flight was arriving earlier in the day. The only thing to be aware of is the noise outside at night during the weekends, we appreciated Seantell's touch of including a sound machine, and keeping in mind we were just outside of a city, it wasn't that bad. The bed was also super comfortable, and on weekdays, we did not hear any street noise! Most places near by are super walkable/ short Uber away. We would definitely come back and stay again should we return to Charleston, we had a great time! Thanks again!

Cozy Little Get Away

149 Line is the perfect little place to stay for a visit to Charleston. The owner has thought of everything you need and more! We were able to walk to breakfast, shopping and sightseeing. Great location. And it is a short drive to Kiawah, Johns and Seabrook Islands.
