Very centrally located with easy access to shopping, dining and attractions. It is a quaint vintage property that has newly remodeled bathrooms…but could use some extra love with room carpeting and sofa.

The staff were so nice and were helpful with making suggestions on the area. The hotel's location was fantastic we could walk to most of the sites we wanted to see and the city bus transportation was great.

We loved the location and it was good to have the parking garage nearby. Only drawback in our suite was the low lighting, and wobbly fans. The bed was very comfortable.

The property is obviously in transition, and the room I stayed in could use some maintenance. However overall, clean, comfortable and convenient. Cute courtyard and great location.

Location location location. It was perfect. Walked literally everywhere. They were doing renovations in some rooms and in areas by the lobby but it was fine. No noise and didn’t inconvenience us. Would stay again.

Better than expected
This was a spontaneous booking and I didn't really expect much except cleanliness and comfort. This place far exceeded my expectations. We'll definitely book again.

The Church Inn is in a convenient location but frankly there are other hotels that are as convenient. My husband and I booked with Expedia and at NO time was any mention in print before booking,that the hotel does NOT provide any housekeeping services except for every four days stay. No one provided this information at check-in, and when we found that our room had not been made up or fresh towels,after returning from our day out, the front desk said that someone should have told us at check-in and then pointed to a paper with small print, telling us it tells you there. If a hotel does not provide any service, this needs to be disclosed BEFORE you decide to book. Especially since the hotel does not refund after booking.In our option, Expedia and the hotel was not forthcoming before booking on the no housekeeping provided before four a four night stay. Would not book this hotel again and will not recommend it.

The Church St. Inn is so close to everything. We were arriving late for check in. Called ahead and it was not a problem. Our room was super nice, clean and quiet at night. My only complaint is the shower. The shower heads are old and have poor water pressure. Not a deal breaker. It was still nice to have a long shower without running out of hot water. Would definitely return.

We loved the location and layout of the hotel with the area downtown. It was perfect for a quick getaway for Fall break. Even the issue with the fire truck and alarm did not impact our stay. Everyone was lovely and were helpful when we had questions.

Excellent location—we had never been to Charleston and weren’t sure where to stay. We parked our car and everything was within walking distance. Close to bars, food, shopping, and the trolley. Our room was perfect and the staff was helpful and very nice. We were very pleased.
