We had a great stay, an extended family of 10. Very clean and well equiped. The property management was very responsive. As a whole, we felt the house was exactly as represented. We'd consider renting again.

We had 6 adult couples. This house had so many activities provided and plenty of space to spread out. We all had a fantastic time! Highly recommend it! It was easy to communicate with the property manager.

I fell in love

It was wonderful. The house was clean, very stylish and definitely had guests in mind. The beds were comfortable and clean and the showers are gorgeous and comfortable. I didn't think he was going. I'd pick this rental every year if I could.

Perfect for family get together

The house worked out perfect for a family get together of 14 adults. Plenty of room to spread out, bedroom/bathroom set up provided a lot of privacy for each guest. Lots of seating. 2 large dining tables to seat 14 + another 4 barstools in kitchen. Kitchen was well stocked (but no spices/oils). Comfortable beds and furniture. Wasn't able to use the outside amenities because of weather. Would definitely rent this house again.

The host was very responsive and accurate in the description. The game changer for our family was the extended space of the “man cave”. This location allowed for a surreal get away location for family members to compete with the golf simulator. Having several large commune areas was also a welcomed experience that allowed for both privacy and family gatherings.

Everything about this rental was amazing, from the booking process all the way through checkout! The property has everything and then some, comfy beds, 2 full kitchens stocked with everything you could need, excellent communication. We had a few issues during our stay that were addressed promptly and efficiently. Honestly couldn't ask for a better week!

Amazing House

Been renting on lake Norman for 8 years and this house by far was the best. I’ve rented homes directly on the lake that were amazing but this house was close enough to the main lake as well as had everything you could ask for. Unlike most rental homes the owner supplied us with basic spices, plenty of garbage bags, detergent to wash dishes amongst a hundred other things most homes do not supply. The house was loaded with games to play, thank god because I forgot my poker chips but they had those as well. The man cave on property was amazing with golf simulator, ping pong and full kitchen and three flat screens. Pickle ball court was a great idea and we played daily. The pool could use a heater as the water was so cold we didn’t swim in it but other than that this house is perfect. Would not hesitate to rent it again. Owners were easy to reach and we had zero issue.

Needs Improvement for SAFETY issues

The general state of the house is okay. However on the property there are several unsafe steps and tiles in and around the swimming pool specifically on BOTH sets of steps and several tiles around the pool deck are loose. On the steps there are loose tiles that could cause you to fall. FALL risk is substantial. We had to move furniture across the steps in order to keep our family safe. Additionally several of the showers could not be operated without water streaming out and on to the floor. The design and waterproofing of these showers is substandard. Exiting the shower was not easy as the tiny rugs they provided did not take in all the water that came out of the shower. This should be consider NORMAL maintenance. Finally the golf simulator did not work.

Great experience at Winding Shores

Our large group of friends had a great time and enjoyed all the extra amenities the house has to offer. The teen/college aged kids had plenty of activities to keep them busy.
