Perfect Family House

Great house for a family of 4. Plenty of room, lots of beach chairs and toys. Easy walk to beautiful Ridgevale beach. Books and games, even movies. We loved the privacy of the back and front yards, which can be hard to find in a rental on the cape. Everything worked perfectly. Outdoor gas grill could use updating.

Long live Chatham and Ridgevale, intensive agreement

The property and home is very nice, very pretty lawn and gardens. Comfortable modern home. Chatham and Ridgevale beach are so lovely. Plenty of room for 5 people, 10 min walk to the beach - in most cases one of us drove, did a drop off and then someone walked back to get the car. There are several nice beach chairs, a couple decent boogie boards and beach stuff. Many nice restaurants around that offered take out. Was handy to have a washer and all modern appliances, very nice outdoor shower. The house was very clean and we could smell that which was a relief when we arrived . The adult that used the futon found it uncomfortable, might be better for a small child. We cooked lobsters one evening - it fit only 3 lobsters, they were delish from Swan Fish Market in Dennis. I have rented homes on the cape for 25 years, this is a nice rental, but also typical of other places we rented. This agreement was by far the most intensive. For me the biggest negative Was the intensity of the rental agreement - it had me stressed out before we even arrived with threats of fines and eviction at every vacation misstep (bring all household items, trash detail, check in, lock out, checkout, no having a cigar on the deck after a day at the beach before dinner, etc. ) for me the agreement truly took away from a beach vibe. The info tells you to bring all household needs (dish soap, laundry soap, paper towel etc) in the end they were provided. Additionally there are significant fees (~25%) Management fee, admin fee, service fee, On top of the rental - from which I felt no benefit . We had a nice week, nice weather, nice get away and change of scene in these Covid days, but felt anxiety over the agreement, and extorted by the fees.
