Overall an excellent location, staff and facilities. The grounds and gardens are large and very well kept. Only minor items to address are that it took some time for breakfast orders to be taken so had to wait a long time and result in toast and tea getting cold. Pool area could do with a little more lighting as it felt very dull.

Lovely hotel and grounds. Nice room and bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. But food prices were eye-watering. Two thick but thinly filled ham sandwiches and 2 pots of tea on arrival cost £37!

Just like to start off my saying how lovely it was to be welcomed in by such friendly staff! The location and hall were kept pristine! Breakfast was amazing, which the staff topped off with their excellent service! We didn’t have time to go to the spa which was unfortunate but we will definitely be back again to try it out!

Lovely friendly staff from the moment we walked in. The Hall is beautiful with gorgeous gardens to enjoy. The spa is delightful. The food was also excellent. It was a wonderful relaxing experience.

From Wendy, Nicola and Jude on the front desk, who helped us so much with our car problems and extra nights to be arranged, to the bar and restaurant staff we say thank you for your care and courtesy. The cheerful cleaning staff and the thoes in the kitchens who supplied delicious food. We loved our stay and will highly recommend this hotel to thoes looking for an upmarket venue with a great vibe.

The Coach House room 43 is very pretty, perfect for a romantic getaway. Good breakfast, plenty of choice. Staff polite. Grounds well kept. Some areas of cleaning need attention, stained upholstery and mould around bottom of shower let the room down a bit but overall this did not spoil my stay.

A beautiful hotel with very generous sized, clean, cosy rooms; well stocked with tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits. Unfortunately though, our mattress and pillows were quite hard making for an uncomfortable night's sleep. An excellent breakfast with a very good choice of cooked food, fresh fruit, pastries and cereals etc. It would be even better if you could have a latte instead of the filter coffee but that is only a small thing.

Very relaxing atmosphere, great breakfast menue well cooked & available early until 10am, we didn't use the extensive spar facilities but our standard double room was comfortable, spacious with views overlooking the manicured garden great value.

All the rooms are really nice and well looked after. Everything is very clean, and the staff are very welcoming . Really good breakfast choices ,and good selection for other meals too. All in all a beautiful building, with big bedrooms, and plenty of nice walks.

Excellent location and setting. Staff excellent. Steam room out of service in the spa. Room could have done with some tlc - eg crumbly walls around where curtain hooks and the tv cable have been put in. TV in the room didn’t work. No decaf tea bags so got charged £9.35 for two decafs in the sitting room.

Breakfast food good. Room OK but needed a clean especially the windows. Staff OK but a bit slow over breakfast The route to the Spa wS down some very steep stone narrow steps. Didn't make it to the spa as was concerned for my safety down the steps. Overall very expensive
