“This is a great, basic, not fancy clean motel. The location is great for the ferry to Mackinaw, just a few minutes from Shepler's dock. Thanks to the motel front desk staff for giving us good information about shuttles and getting the ferry to Mackinaw Island. DON"T pay 15.00 to park at Shepler's lot, call them and the nice shuttle will pick you up in minutes from this motel. Tip the driver, they are super nice. There is an excellent cafe for breakfast and lunch across the parking lot called……

“Nice and clean place to stay, everything worked well - looks very new. Only issue was WiFi was spotty or was shared with other cabin. We could not get on sometimes and we have Verizon Cell phones and no coverage there - it’s a wooded lot. Not a big deal for us, could be for other families. ”

“Very nice, peaceful little rental. We enjoyed our stay here. I might suggest adding a small drop leaf table to the side kitchen/living area for a place to sit and eat. The rack over the stool needs to be placed on blocks rather than sponge pieces as the toilet lid doesn't go up without pushing the rack back and things could fall in the toilet. No outlets in the bathroom to dry your hair and no hairdryer supplied. Adding a clothes bar to the closet and moving the light switch in the closet for……

“Our family of 5 plus our dog had a great stay at Mud Creek. Brandon was very communicative before and during the stay, and even had a bug zapper dropped off when we found out the one at the house wasn't working. Our kids loved fishing off the pier and taking the kayaks out and doing a little exploring. All of the amenities were included, literally the only thing we could have used that wasn't there was a pitcher for juice and long-handled lighter for the fire pit. Otherwise the place was great!”

“The clean and comfortable accommodations for our large family were great for enjoying a northern Michigan vacation. The dock was more than deep enough for tying up our ski boat and for kids’ swimming. The upstairs deck was a wonderful spot for enjoying the setting, and bird watching. The walk down to the dock is a bit steep, so watch your step, but the elevation gives a nice view and sense of being at treetop level.
