"The location is great and it has a good car park that costs £17 per day. It is close to the bus stop on the Promenade and makes it easy to visit Gloucester, Cirencester and other places. We enjoyed the breakfasts but Sunday lunch was disappointing. The staff were good."

"Had a lovely couple of nights staying here. Staff and food were 5 star all the way. My only criticism was that as someone with mobility issues the stairs to access our room were hard. If we came again would explore the opportunity to stay in one of the downstairs properties"

"It’s in the right part of Cheltenham. Close enough to Montpellier, but not so close it’s outside. 20 minute walk from Cheltenham Spa train station, or catch a cab."

"5x the original price they charged me due to Cheltenham. Very poor all round. If I paid the original price it wouldn’t have been as bad. Hum out of order, lots of work being done. Just a very disappointing stay. They price they charged was disgraceful "

"The room was ok .. spacious bedroom area although the bathroom was tiny and the door opened into it so that made it even smaller. There was a large cobweb on the bathroom ceiling. The staff that “welcomed” us at check in and I use that term extremely loosely were sadly lacking in customer service skills. We had to ask where the room was and even then the directions weren’t helpful. There was another member of staff sitting around doing nothing which looks very unprofessional. One of our bathroom towels was dirty and I asked the reception staff if someone could replace it with a clean one. No apology which was disappointing. Similarly when we checked out no one bothered asking if everything had been ok with our stay. I will however say that the food in the restaurant is exceptional. We had dinner on the Saturday evening and the restaurant was very busy as you would expect. Service was excellent, friendly waiting staff and the food was out of this world. One of the best steaks I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend the restaurant but steer clear of the hotel. Very disappointed. "
