Firstly the good things: the common areas & my suite (the Secret Garden) were in many ways very impressive in terms of design & everything was beautifully clean. On the downside the suite wasn’t quite as practical/efficient as I’d have hoped. Eg the fridge was just a minibar so v small; the bathroom basin was tiny, the mirror above it with built in light didn’t work & flashed all the time; the wet room arrangement was impractical as the water flooded the area between the shower area & the towel rail. So still a good experience staying here & if design’s your thing then absolutely terrific, but not quite right for me.

Fabulous hotel

Love, love, love this hotel. Was our second time staying here, both times in the Secret Garden room. Very spacious, comfortable bed, quiet room, fab separate living area. Kitchenette is a real bonus. Fab fire in the bedroom too. Will certainly stay here again and maybe try a different room next time 🙂

A Gem in Chester

On arrival I was upgraded to the spa room which had a steam room, it was fabulous The room was very clean and spacious. The staff very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommended this hotel

Great location for the City and walk along the walls. Liked having area to let dog out but the shared area looked a bit “work in progress” Very comfortable beds, spotlessly clean and handy kitchenette. Good communication from hotel.
