The lobby was a bit hectic with only one person working and checking everyone in. Took a while to actually get to the room because of this. The WIFI was not working due to overload, quite interesting situation. The rooms were okay enough, the cleanliness is meh. It can hold you over for the night.

The room was ok. We had issues with the AC upon check-in but it was resolved quickly. We were on the third floor and it was a bit rough with my pregnant wife. There is no elevator so just remember that. Apart from that it was an ok stay. We used to stay a lot here and grand marlon but after covid, we mostly use airbnbs. For the price, it was decent.

Nice hotel but wasn't clean. There was an item on the steps the entire time we were there. The pool was full of algae and we had a huge cockroach in our room the 1st day we were there. The bathroom off the pool also wasnt cleaned the entire time we were there, as evidenced by fecal matter left on the toilet seat. Outside the hotel, the smell of sewage was overwhelming. The location was centrally located, and the hotel across the street had a restaurant, which i guess would be what we liked

Check in was at 2pm, our room was not ready until 5pm. Staff at front desk were not as so nice but very stern as with a school not a hotel. Booking stated that breakfast was complimentary just to find when we sat for breakfast that it was not!!!

Pros: close to the airport, ADO, & water ferry. Easy to hail a taxi. Cons: Very noisy atrium with sound that bounces all hours. Some other guests were having a very loud party in the seats by the pool. This went on from 10pm to 1am. We did altert the front desk multiple times but no action was taken on their part. If you do stay bring ear plugs. Previous reviews mentioned water presure but ours was fine.

Great location, some rooms and property has been fixed up a bit but needs an overhall, especially the pool. Resturant closed during covid and hasn't reopened. That part of town could benefit from a simple resturant with good food at fair prices and a relaxing bar. Gran Marlon has a glass box resturant but its neither cheap nor very inviting. Hot water for a shower seems better but sometimes in the AM there is none. In the day taxis are cheap and easy to find but at 5 pm, or in the rain, or at night you can really get stuck. Chetumal needs more taxis!
