Cosy cottage in the Cotswolds

Nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds, Shipton-under-Wychwood offers a peaceful retreat with a rich history. Recently upgraded with a new boiler, our accommodations feature a cozy log fire for colder weekends, a beautiful four-poster bed, and a comfortable twin en suite. The village provides a perfect base for exploration, with charming villages, the grandeur of Blenheim Palace, Jeremy Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farm Shop, a Wildlife Park, Crocodile World, and easy access to Oxford's historic colleges and Harry Potter tours.
Our spacious home features a delightful kitchen equipped with modern amenities, perfect for socializing and enjoying delicious meals in the large dining area. Afterward, unwind in the cozy sitting room, complete with a TV offering both Netflix and Freeview for entertainment. Each bedroom is a private haven, boasting its own bathroom and TV, ensuring personal space and relaxation for all guests. Step into our sunny garden, a tranquil outdoor haven, ideal for morning coffees or evening strolls. Enjoy the convenience of ample parking, making your stay stress-free. Knusse woning
Zeer knusse woning voorzien van veel gemakken. Het huisje is erg gezellig ingericht, met een ruime woonkeuken en grote eettafel, een gezellige woonkamer met open haard en boven twee ruime slaapkamers en twee badkamers. Enige wat misschien goed is om te weten is dat er enkel toiletten boven zijn! Oh, en neem je eigen koffie mee. Er is wel een koffiemachine, maar geen koffie ;). Al om al, erg fijn!

Great Location
The cottage was very comfortable and equipped with everything you could need. The location is great for exploring the Cotswolds. Unfortunately there was a very annoying ongoing issue with the hot water. We arrived to find a note from a plumber that explained a process we needed to follow in order to get hot water but it didn’t always work and we needed to reset the boiler numerous times. I did complain to the owner as I thought we should have been informed of this in advance. She disagreed with me and didn’t seem to think that it was a problem at all. Not really what you expect for £200+ per night. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would go back…..but not until the hot water problem was resolved!

Fijne uitvalsbasis om de Cotswolds en omgeving te ontdekken
Goede locatie, ruime cottage, veel voorzieningen ruime tuin waarin de kinderen zalig gespeeld hebben. Strategische locatie om veel te bezoeken: Oxford, Blenheim, Stratford Upon Avon,... Enkel jammer dat de gordijnen vrij doorschijnend waren, de kinderen waren daardoor vroeg wakker...
