Great peaceful spot.
My family and I had a relaxing time at Villa Heidi in August 2010. The manager, caretaker and maid were very warm and welcoming. The Villa itself is beautiful and spacious with 3 double bedrooms upstairs and 1 doube bedroom downstairs. The villa also has 3 big bathrooms (one downstairs). The swimming pool is about 5 feet deep all the way across but is kept clean by the caretaker. They were all very happy to help with anything. The Villa is about 8 km from Stone Town. While we were there it cost about $10 for a taxi into Stone Town.
The beach is easily accesible via a gate at the end of the garden. The beach itself is not entirely sandy but when the tide is in you can swim. Thee are local fisherman that go out fishing everyday and from whom you can buy some seafood. The villa is self catering but has all the cooking facilities and utensils. The maid comes in and cleans the house everyday. If you are looking for a quiet holiday with some beautiful surroundings you cannot go wrong with Villa Heidi. The villa overlooks the sea and in the evening you can sit in the hut at the end of the garden and see the beautiful sunset.
