“This hotel stands out in Panajachel due to its modern conveniences, spacious rooms, with nice views and balconies. The pool area is great to relax whether you have kids playing in one end of the pool or adults in the other area. There also two hot tubs that operate on a reservation system. The hot tubs do appear older and need some tiles to be replaced and the water is not too hot but still relaxing for the cooler afternoons and evenings. The hotel restaurant was nice and convenient if you don’t……

“The hotel facilities did not look as pictured. The rooms are extremely dated, they don’t have AC or any temperature control. The property is marketed as a hotel but it looks more like a guest house. Also, the room service started before 8:00am when some of the guests are still sleeping. Food is average. ”

“Well this place is OLD unkept, and over price for the quality. Staff was very professional. Doors broken, locks not working, walls crack and chipped very bad. Furniture were stained and due to city pest control spray that day there was so many bags all over the room. Which they had time to clean since we arrived at 6:00 pm and pest control was before noon ”

“The place is basic, with a bathroom with very low water pressure, noisy at times, great view of the volcanoes and Lake Atitlan from the terrace, convenient walking distance to the lanchas piers, some good restaurants and tiendas, tourist-oriented shops, and yes, from the Panajachel river paragliding departure and landing facilities. The breakfast selection was really basic, either chapin or American, with anything extra like orange juice for an extra fee. One morning we had to wait way past 30……

“Based on previous reviews I was quite skeptical. Having my own experience at the Grand Hotel has made me realize I cannot make my decisions based on reviews. My hotel stay here was great! The staff: friendly, helpful and kind. The rooms: comfortable, quiet with VERY HOT WATER! I needed help connecting to wifi, done! I needed toiletries: provided. The breakfast that’s included in the very good price: delicious and good portion. The outdoor space: green and pleasant to walk around in. Is it high……

“Cleanish room, couple of spiders but it’s kinda a glamping type situation, the hot water is hot or miss, the lady at the front desk was brash, and they charge to use the hot tub. Not really walking distance to anything which is fine but worth noting in case you are against using a tuk tuk or cab. Bed is hard, the in room safe dint work was frozen even though the batteries were fine. The toilet water rises all the way up and with touch your jewels me. So be ready for it or hover when you flush.……

“The hotel is okay, most of the natural beauty around it makes it look a lot better. There is no AC so be prepared to be warm during the day. Our room was over an hour and a half late and we were not compensated whatsoever even though we were waiting for them. It's time for isn't overly attentive and the wait time for the food is definitely not worth it. ”
