“Badic accommodation. Poor value for money. A pub with rooms. You could smell the fried chips when you opened the door in the car park. The staff were jobs worth and not welcoming. Poorly maintained property which felt grubby. My room had a sash window broken so couldn't open it. Only good thing were the bath towels and good mattress. Pillows awful. Make sure you don't have a room on the front of the hotel as the noise from the road is continous through the night. I would not stay there……

“We had an excellent experience in this hotel. It was the first time we visited this hotel. Located a bit away from the city centre, the hotel's deco, ambience and service were comparable to a 5-star hotel. We were particularly impressed by the service of Ali, proactive, considerate and detailed to meet our needs, even the unspoken. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel and found them enjoyable. ”

“Great location, large well appointed room and very friendly, helpful staff. No parking at the property but easy to find close by. Bed super-comfy but I am a light sleeper and the noise from the extractor fans (assume from the kitchen) was evident all night and meant not much sleep Restaurant was expensive for what was pretty ordinary food.”

“Beautiful hotel and wonderful breakfast included with stay. We stayed in the Old Justice room and despite not having air conditioning, we were able to open the windows to cool the room very comfortably. The room was beautiful and having the extra living space as a separate room made it feel so spacious and luxurious. Burford is a BEAUTIFUL town and we enjoyed wandering up and down the streets both evenings of our stay. This hotel is centrally located and very easy to walk the entire town in both……

“The Bell Inn was gorgeous it would have received a 5 star rating if it wasn’t for the staffing issues. Housekeeping had failed to turn up that day and they hadn’t realised until nearly checking time so we never got into our room until 5.45. The staff dealt with this delay professionally and we were served with complimentary drinks. This caused us a bit of an issue as we had to leave at 6.15 for a meal elsewhere. Would definitely stay here again if in this area.”
