The staff at this hotel are great. They kept us informed and were polite the entire time. Check-in is rough, though. If you show up a little early, you're not getting in. I realize they are a busy hotel, but we'd been in the car for 7 hours and while the staff were very cordial, the policy seemed a bit too rigid. There was a point where plenty of guests were sitting in the lobby almost like at a doctor's appointment, waiting to be called for their room. Again, this isn't the fault of the staff. This is a policy issue.
It's an older hotel that has clearly been repurposed. While they did renovate, there's a lot that could be updated to make it better. We had the misfortune of having a room across from the elevator and two doors away from an outside exit. At 5 am, the noise started. There's a noticeable gap under the door, so that noise is coming right in. The bathtub was resurfaced and it was like trying to balance on a ball -- the tub floor was warped and probably unsafe for those who are unsteady on their feet.
The room was clean enough, comfortable, and the right temperature. Again, it gets high marks for the staff, but the rest could use some attention.
