"The cottage was very clean and nicely decorated. The outdoor space was very relaxing and quiet. A quaint little town and a real treasure!!"

"The cleanliness of the property left much to be desired. We sent photos to the property owner about the cleanliness with photos (including poop on the side of the toilet seat). We received an apology but no offer to clean or compensation. The sheets were stained and had hair in them so we had to wash them before we could sleep in them. The both trash cans were full with bags sitting beside them. If it was cleaner it would have been a great place to stay"

"We had a wonderful stay! There were 9 of us and we had plenty of room. The house was clean. The kids loved the pool. We saw dolphins, manatees and sting rays in the canal in the back which was definitely a highlight of the trip. Only complaint was shower in Florida room was very short for my son and husband. "

"Riverbend Retreat is a very relaxing and comfortable house. It is fully stocked with anything you would need to have a peaceful, relaxing stay. Although we didn’t take advantage of the kayaks, we did do some fishing which was a great way to spend the afternoon and evening. Even though it’s a secluded location, there is shopping and restaurants close by. We also spent some time at both E.G. Simmons County park which has a small beach and Little Manatee State Park which you can paddle to. Check in and check out was extremely easy. We really had no problems but when we did communicate with Sidney, he responded quickly! Definitely recommend it!"

"So much love has went into this place. Everything is available for what your heart desires. The owners have covered everything. It’s away from everything but close to anything you want to do. We had a visit from some dolphins, a family of raccoons many birds and plenty of fish. You can sit at the edge of the beach and watch the hermit crabs. At night a fire and relax after a busy day of doing nothing or visiting the hustle and bustle of the city near by."
