The Glass room is peaceful, spacious and so beautifully furnished, I don't think we have ever slept in such a comfortable bed, including our own! The location was perfect for us, visiting Flatford Mill, the Beth Chatto gardens and a little further afield, RHS Hyde Hall. It also gave us easy access to visit family in Ipswich. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend here and had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay.

Best bank holiday break

The property is beautiful, huge glass windows overlooking the most beautiful garden. Very quiet and relaxing. We loved sitting in the living room with the doors open looking out at the alpacas. They are so cute! The bed is huge, the shower is an amazing waterfall type shower, loads of space. Great location as we had booked to go to colchester zoo and also visited flatford mill and colchester town centre. We can’t wait to come back!

My partner and I spent a lovely week at this property in early Sept. Views from inside the cottage of the garden and surrounding fields were fabulous - a breath of fresh air for city folk like us! The cottage was clean & tidy, well equipped, very comfortable and was spacious, light and airy. A highlight for us was watching the owner's alpacas grazing in the neighbouring field. Just Right !

Really, really comfortable. Bright and light . Excellent location for so many places of interest and within an hour to London by train. Lovely garden and fun alpacas - a real joy to watch. Excellent pubs and restaurants near by. Emma the owner is very easy to get on with and is warm and welcoming. We had a truly enjoyable stay and we highly recommend this property.
