「From the outside the hotel looked like any other country hotel, but once you step inside you almost notice straight away how tired looking the whole hotel is, the interior doors, the wallpaper. I stayed in room 17, didn’t sleep much, found the bed uncomfortable. It had a ‘smart tv’, well nothing smart about that tv , it kept going off and then on again. 「Our room was lovely and the breakfast was fantastic, with very nice bacon and eggs. Staff very friendly.」

「Lovely spacious room, brilliant location in the heart of the Forest of Dean (we saw wild boar in broad daylight, just outside the hotel). Excellent meal in the the dining room in the evening of our stay. Online check-in didn't seem to have worked, but this may not have been the hotel's fault.」
