Sweet home, the home of the small village

The house is part of a small village of typical Tuscan houses located on a hill overlooking the Val d'Elsa. The house consists of a living area from which you can enjoy a beautiful view with kitchen, a bathroom with shower and finally complete the house two large bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds , which can be joined as needed. The house was designed to make our guests' stay as comfortable as possible, in fact inside the house there is WIFI, each window is equipped with a mosquito net, there are two fans, washing machine, hair dryer and television. The kitchen is also equipped with all modern comforts such as: oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, American coffee machine, water boiler, toaster and dishwasher. The swimming pool is located about 40 meters from the house. It is open from June to September and is shared with the other inhabitants of the village. The swimming pool is 5 meters wide and 15 meters long, starting from a depth of one and a half meters up to two meters and thirty centimeters. The house is ideal for those who want to visit the heart of Tuscany, in fact it is not very far from Siena-Florence (8Km), a free two-lane road. Some distances to reach the places of greatest historical interest nearby: Monteriggioni (15Km), San Giminiano (20Km), Siena (25Km), Volterra (33Km), Florence (55Km). The closest location is Colle di Val d'Elsa (7km) where you can find supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants, bars.

  • Cascate del Diborrato - Parco fluviale dell'Elsa Inside the residential area of Colle Val d'Elsa is a historic and natural landscape of enormous value thanks to the Elsa River which crosses the Val d'Elsa creating a unique territory. The river creates enchanting corners for hiking and observing: the engineering works for gathering water, the artifical canal system for carrying the water to the city, the caves. A particularly suggestive point is the Diborrato water falls, a 15m jump which is more than 10m deep, a sort of small lake where the locals used to go to cool off. Other places not to miss are the Grotta dell'Orso, the Conchina, the Masso Bianco, the Nicchia and the Spianata dei Falchi, each with its own particularities. This natural richness has been recognized with the institution of a protected area in the River Park of the Upper Val d'Elsa which includes the path of the river from the city of Colle Val d'Elsa which stretches from Ponte Santa Giulia to Ponte di Spugna and includes the Caldane, thermal springs which were known to the Etruscans and Romans.

Freundlicher Empfang, gepflegter Pool

Die Wohnung im 1. Stock liegt in einem Ferienhaus auf einem toskanischen Hügel, die kleine Straße hinauf ist steil und kurvig, nichts für z.B. Wohnmobile. Das Bett im "Elternschlafzimmer" hat eine neue, bequeme Matratze. Die Ausstattung der Fewo ist gut, über die kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten (Öl, Flasche Wein usw.) haben wir uns sehr gefreut. Der große Pool, den wir meist für uns alleine hatten, wird mehrmals wöchentlich gereinigt und gewartet 😀Einziges echtes Manko für uns: Leider gehört zur FeWo kein Außensitzplatz, also kleiner Garten oder Terrasse, dazu. Der Grillplatz wird, wie auch der Pool, von allen Feriengästen genutzt und wäre auch z.B. zum Frühstück im Freien oder Kaffee zu umständlich zu erreichen. Besonders bedanken wir uns für den sehr freundlichen Empfang durch Giovanni, den Neffen der Besitzerin, der nicht nur hervorragend Englisch spricht, sondern auch stets erreichbar war.

Posto da relax

Marta è stata un'ottima padrona di casa e ci ha accolto molto bene . La casa è molto confortevole e consente di raggiungere con estrema facilità tanti posti di interesse turistico della Toscana. La finestra del soggiorno della casa è un quadro delle colline Senesi che incanta e che contribuisce alla condizione di benessere per tutta la durata del soggiorno.

A beautifully quiet place to relax and a good base from which to explore Tuscany

A bit off-the-beaten-track, this holiday home is very well equipped for a family holiday with older children. The living accommodation is situated on the first floor and access is via a short (100m) slope from the ample car park. The flat has a beautiful view and is tastefully furnished. The pool area is quiet and the pool is a good size for swimming. 2 sun beds and one sun umbrella are provided. The nearest supermarkets are about 10 -15 mins drive. Riccardo and Marta are very friendly hosts and were quick to respond to our needs.

Con la mia famiglia, (mia moglie e mia figlia), abbiamo soggiornato presso questa struttura per dieci giorni dal 18/08/2018 al 28/08/2018. L'accoglienza che abbiamo ricevuto da parte della signora Silvia che ringrazio pubblicamente, è stata splendida. La casa corrisponde in pieno a quanto visto sul sito, il posto è tranquillo con vista sulle colline toscane, si trova in una posizione da cui facilmente si possono raggiungere tante altre mete turistiche, tra cui Colle di Val d' Elsa, San Gimignano e Volterra, per fare la spesa si deve raggiungere (qualche chilometro) la località Gracciano dove si possono trovare dei super market. Consigliata a tutti coloro che vogliono prendersi dei momenti di relax lontano dal ritmo frenetico a cui siamo sottoposti tutti i giorni.
