"The apartment was very nice but is in need of some maintenance. Lights were burned out at the bedside & a plug receptacle was partially pulled out of the wall, also at the bedside. The drapes in the living room area, were coming off the hanging hardware. The staff were great & very helpful. The next issue is really a Hotels.com issue. When we tried to navigate to any location on our trip(rental car was used), the location of each property came up on the navigation system as Unknown Location instead of the name of the property. Thus, we found our selves on busy unfamiliar streets close to but not exactly at the front entrance of the facility. Also, specific information regarding actual location to where to park for each facility would be helpful. In many cases, the actual property name is not the exact name on the front of the hotel/apartment."

"LIKED: Great clean rooms very modernized with good closet space. We got the balcony so I could grab a cigar at night. Great towels, a fabulous bathtub and safe / coffee amenities. Staff super professional and kind and English speaking if required. Very short walking distance to Colmar Centre where there is tons of shopping and bars and restaurants. Colmar absolutely surprised us and the James Boutique Hotel was awesome place to stay. Highly recommend. DISLIKED: Not a thing!"

"The staff was great and the location was perfect. The breakfast in the morning was a great way to start the day. The room was a little on the smaller side, but did not take away the charm of hotel. The staff were super accommodating for gluten free items which are a plus. The offsite parking was reasonable and a nice parking area. They did have a four space garage but required a tiny car."

However, there was no easy chair despite neighbouring rooms having two. We asked a couple of times for a chair to no avail. We’d have given five stars otherwise"
