Host was very responsive, location was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Best for two couples and worked great for my wife and I. The town is a lot of fun with shops and great restaurants.

The house was perfect for our needs. The location was great. From the front porch we could watch the climbers ascend Manitou Incline each afternoon. The house was clean and comfortable. We would recommend it to friends and family.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cottage. Everything we needed was available for our trip. The only downside side is that the house is really cold downstairs and really warm upstairs during cold weather. It has great parking and large yard and back patio. We would definitely consider staying again.

Stayed a week by myself here to soak in the mountain countryside. There’s not much to do in Manitou Springs, however. Stopped by the Garden of the Gods—about the only interesting mountain landscape to really explore. The house itself was nice and cozy. The basement bathroom is a little too cramped. The back patio areas and upstairs walkout are nice.

We stayed here for the weekend during the Pikes Peak Ascent. The location was perfect for access to the race and anything else we needed. The house was fun and we were just disappointed we didn't have time to enjoy everything (especially the decks) as the race took up most of our time. The house was well stocked and we were very comfortable.

Loved our stay here! We had great weather so we were able to utilize the outdoor spaces as well. We played games and had cocktails on the 3 tiered deck and met the friendly neighbors and their cute pups. The house itself was so unique (hate cookie cutter models), both interior and exterior. Beds were very comfortable, and the upstairs offered a AC unit that we used because it did get warm up there. It was a nice walk to downtown, very doable for able bodied people. Walking the hill back up to the house could be difficult for some. I would suggest to offer some more shampoo, condition, and body wash; even just a middle of the road brand. I would highly recommend family and friends to stay here and we will probably come back at some point and stay again! Thank you for opening up your house for the greater good!

One of our party was injured due to unsafe conditions with rotten wood in several places (deck and front porch). We went to the highest deck through the master suite, one of us sat on a chair, and it immediately went through a rotten board on the deck, causing a fall with injuries.
We have contacted the host and Vrbo with no response or resolution. We contacted Vrbo multiple times, and while we were promised that we would be called and emailed back, we have received neither. The injuries ruined plans for the rest of our vacation.

We were moderately happy with our stay here. The house is old and unique with a lot of charm - very cute inside and out. The location is great, very walkable to downtown Manitou and short drive to all the attractions. Two big things that bothered us: first, it was not disclosed that 1 bedroom was upstairs and 1 downstairs (which itself would have been fine) but that both bedrooms had doors to the outside. This should definitely be in the listing as we did not feel comfortable with our young children on a different floor with an outlet outside. Second, they need a better cleaning crew. When we arrived the kitchen floor was not swept, there was hair in the sink drain, and trash left in the bedroom. The patio furniture was yucky, covered in dirt, pollen and spiderwebs. Not stuff you want to be cleaning yourself when you first arrive on vacation. Upstairs bed was comfortable but downstairs not so much, pillows were flat as pancakes. Living room was comfy and kitchen fully stocked if you want to cook. Overall, I would recommend this property but only if reassured there was a more thorough cleaning ahead of time.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming, quintessential historic home in Manitou Springs, CO, and it was an experience we won't forget. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted with warmth and a sense of coziness that made it feel like a true home away from home. The home itself was a beautiful blend of historic charm and modern comfort, with every detail thoughtfully curated. The wood beams, antique furnishings, and original features added so much character, while the comfortable living area made it easy to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the area. The location was perfect for a weekend getaway, just a short stroll from the heart of Manitou Springs with its shops, restaurants, and natural beauty. Whether we were lounging on the porch with a cup of coffee or retreating inside for a quiet evening, it was easy to feel at peace and completely content. We absolutely loved our stay here. The home was welcoming, impeccably clean, and had everything we needed to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We would definitely return!

We loved the decor and ambiance of the house. Seen doe and baby fawn. Loved the closeness to the main street and things to see. Also appreciated the info from previous quests. It was perfect for our 2 night stay in Manitou Springs. Thank you for sharing your home.

This house was fantastic and the location was amazing. We came to Manitou for the wine festival and had no idea how close the house would be to it! We had the best time and we loved sitting out on the upper deck together. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again.

We enjoyed the convenience of this property - Close to town and surrounding attractions. Not as clean as we like (trash still in the cans in the kitchen and noticed the floor was very dirty when we dropped something and had get on our knees to pick it up).
Over all a good stay

The property was great. Perfect for a group of 4 adults. Walking distance to downtown where there is tons of great food, entertainment and shopping. It’s alittle over a mile to the Incline and Cog Railroad. The property was clean, towels soft, and has a great outdoor deck.
